Morning all. I know SG and Bates like to keep things quiet about targets and all, but it a worry that a lot of our rivals have stolen a march on us with some of their signings.
Safe to say we're all worried. It seems like Leeds are just grabbing whoever they can get and hoping for the best. One of 2 things is happening with these players, they are being arsey and asking for more money because it's Leeds and they think they can get more, or we're just not willing to pay them as much as other clubs. I'm guessing it's the latter, unfortunately, and it saddens me, especially since we're in profit and have trimmed a decent amount of fat already.

Maclaren and Sven are snapping up everyone, Brighton and Southampton doing plenty of damage and thats without talking about West Ham who are already equiped with a Prem squad and prem manager. good afternoon! i'd love to see one or 2 new players coming in, but i think we have a decent squad with some player coming back from good loan spells. left back - aidy white, who i'd love to see given a good run cm - nunez, clayton, both are more than ready for a go cb - lees, could be our next big player if reports are to believed other players like zac thompson coming through too with a steady commanding keeper i cant see us conceding anywhere near as many goals as last season. i dont think any of our cb had any confidence in kasper. if we keep all of our forward players, we are un-predictable, we have pace with mad max, strengh with becs, potential with somma, goal poacher in ross and billy who has a lot to prove. we might get a full season out of sam, again when played, looks good. if some of these teams, like west ham, leicester etc, who are spending more than most prem side other than the top 6/7, go tits up, they will go tits up bigger than we have ever seen before.
I'm going to answer my own question about the Delph money, contraversial (Never worried me before) If you remember Newcastle came in with a £8m bid. Bates and Grayson told Newcastle they had no chance of getting him on the cheap. 2 days later bates came out and said that Villa had acted with honour and a deal had been done, meaning young Fab went to Villa. So £8m was cheap, but we never found out the exact fee Villa paid, so everyone assumed it had to be higher than Newcastle's £8m. Could it be that the Yank at villa is no stranger to putting cash straight offshore into Bates account, whilst at the same time trickling bits into the Leeds coffers, as if everything was done as add-on's. Gets around the VAT issue, covers actual trading, shows some cash going in, and as we don't know the terms of the deal anyway never find out what they've done. Villa win, Bates wins and the club lose. Think about it though, £8m rejected, but we've never seen a penny because in the accounts it looks like we gave him away for free ....
by the way, i think we should have kept the real casper, rather than have kasper for a year! no point worrying about what we havent got, and look to what we have. saves any disapointment!
