It's pretty simple really, if you like a joint and have nothing on, go for it, if you got **** to do, don't.
Same goes for beer doesn't it?

So those that choose to abuse, well that's down to the individual not the substance. So it's just scapegoating blaming the substance.

Even yak or coke, in tightly controlled moderation, one can dabble without getting addicted, but.. you must be that type of person that has self control and discipline, if you are not then you will get hooked. Again this is down to the individual, not the substance.

Lets stop blaming the drugs, it's people, blaming the drugs is like blaming guns for gun crime, or blaming pencils for writing :D

    This dawgs ^^

It's like with driving when you see on those shows the police pull over a speeder or a dangerous driver and the driver says 'I didn't realise' or 'I didn't know I was doing it'. Lame excuses and bullshit. If that's the case you shouldn't be allowed to drive a car again because you're in total neglect of your duties as a driver. Individual accountability people, individual accountability.

No Tobes it's called self control, when the kids are in bed and everything is done my time is my own, then I can light up.
If you want to talk strains then have at it, I know what is good and what is not lad, I've been growing on and off for 20 years.

I usually feel a bit strange on the match-day thread against Saints, because it looks like I'm one of them.
My username is a pun on my real name and something I thought up years ago before I came on here. When I first started this, Saints were rummaging about in the League's nether regions and so it never mattered.

A drug is an inanimate object. A gun is an inanimate object. They hold no inherently beneficial or malevolent qualities. They are not good and they are not evil. The choices and decisions that people make when in possession of these objects are what lead other people to assign certain indicators of worth and different values to them, both positive and negative, good and evil.

and there you have it, "plenty". Substance abuse. That has nothing to do with the drug in question and everything to do with the person taking it.

I have known people who smoked **** before they matured and got their life in order and most of em continued into adulthood the same way, underachieving pot heads.

I also know many a dude that smoked after their life was in order and have never EVER met anyone who binned their career in order to sit around smoking pot.

Anyone else know of anyone who binned a successful life to sit on the couch smoking joints? I've never met one.
I have met people who were successful and threw it all away over booze tho..

Yeah I knew a lad who did nothing for over 20 years after leaving school, aside from growing his own.

Most tend to sack it off when they realise that sat around laughing at crap TV for the umpteenth time has become a tad boring.

As a matter of interest how old are you?

Worth mentioning that poverty is directly related to mental health issues, and that group contains the majority of all day long pot heads.

What I find to be true is that people who have mental health issues self medicate with weed so in fact the weed is not causing their issues but rather, their mental health issues have them dependent on weed, often weed is smoked as a way of dealing with mental health issues, very often.

Take PTSD for example, some have only found weed to be a successful treatment, yet any prohibition stats will mark that down as someone who smokes weed as having a mental health issue.

I find that most constant smokers have issues that are not related to pot, or problems with life in general.. and the weed is either self medicating or escapism.

I have a taste aversion to alcohol - it all tastes like poison to me - and I've never had any inclination to smoke [probably due to seeing the health effects in family members who did smoke] or take drugs. I'd like to ask those who do smoke or dabble in drugs, what made you start?

right ehre on this thread we have prefect examples.

    1. RHC could be a CEO if he'd laid off the weed and drink.

    2. someone says he knows lads who as young lads did it and never get back on the track. I think if they **** up education, or first 5 years of career you never get back to full potential IMO.
