Tbf to the mods, I think they made it quite clear that it was personal abuse as well that was culminated in the decision.

This is all way out of proportion though! It's three weeks. The Ipswich board bans people, the QPR board bans, this is positively gentle in comparison to other mods.

Everyone should just get over it and move on. Those two are probably loving the attention, which is really the only reason they wum on here in the first place.

 

KoPR, I wish you would stop trying to deflect this off topic, you've admitted that you haven't read all the posts, don't bother to start now, it would take you longer than the three week ban just to read them all. You may think I'm exaggerating, I promise I am not. They infested every thread, posting puerile nonsense one after another simply to prevent any reasonable discussion by any board member!

I think they post way more on here than your board I think this is the issue.

Ipswich crazy is an act he had his "going to hell" vid removed by Youtube because of some homphobic comments about Fry .
Other than bad teeth he is hardly disabled and to get defensive about comments about him is daft.

But in the interests of being fair, and the moral arbiter, I would like you to say the same to your own as well. If you're going to lecture us, you can't expect to be taken seriously unless you explain the same to Guru and JWM, as well as all the other Town posters. I've been on the receiving end of a number of unfair accusations.

All this talk of bias and not letting other opinions out, and yet I notice that not a single Binner has really thought about it from any point of view other than Guru's and JWM's, in stark contrast to our board where there is lively debate. Who's the one restricting opinions?

It's only fair. I can't be the only one that was close to quitting because of those two.

I appreciate you're just trying to defend yourself, but frankly if people objected so much to your moderation they would be asking you to step down. They aren't. That's a mandate in itself. That's what democracy is - you don't always vote for everything someone stands for. You accept some things you will disagree with.

Thanks Rob, I reacted too quickly, I was upset that KoPR hadn't taken the sams stance as San Diego, in accepting that our board is run by out rules, not their's!

I'm gunna miss Robs Long patronising posts towards Guru. They were always good for a laugh!

I didn't mean that as a threat... I just simply meant I can't have been the only one who came onto the board at lunchtime to see five or six unread threads where the last poster was one of the innocent two on each and you click on them and the majority of posts are them. That's the point where you roll your eyes and think "is it worth it?"


Dave - I actually agree with KoPR, but it would be interesting to see whether he's prepared to act on his comments and treat Ipswich posters the same way. I get a huge stench of double standards going on from the Ipswich posters. If they're prepared to lecture us on what's right and wrong, opinion and wumming and where to draw the line, they should also be lecturing their own. So far they are refusing to do so and all they are doing is making this very silly situation (it's a three week suspension FFS, not an execution) worse.

 

He will be missed , Rob's posts really bulk out a thread.

 

I would like to see a 'write-off', where Rob starts the thread with a 20+ line post, and all subsequent posts must exceed the number of lines in the previous post - while staying on topic

I reckon that could be quite a bit of fun
