I said that it was the crazy decision that led to the goal that his rant stemmed from..Do you have to explain everything to people from Humberside..
You watched a different game to me!! Hull looked awful (so did we!) we had 60% possession in an away game (our highest this season I think) and, to be honest, in the last 20 minutes there only looked like one winner and it certainly wasn't Hull. The bookings we got were mainly for very little - Cattermole's was "one for the team" (they were 3 on 4 going forward if he hadn't done that) and Hull had their usual "whinge to the ref every time someone gets booked" moments - although Bridcutt was very lucky not to be sent off - but then so was Meyler for putting his head into Cattermole (I didn;t say head-butt - but what he did has, in the past, constituted a red card). Happy with a point to be honest. Bruce is a ****. No other word. Horrible slimy twat who never does anything wrong in his own eyes but Poyet got sent to the stands for kicking over a water bucket. Bruce got no punishment for constantly pushing a linesman? Poyet had a go at him and he bit. Just my opinion. What Poyet diod is no worse than what Wenger does quite often. I don't mind seeing a little passion from the gaffer - Bruce stirred it and Poyet bit. Little else
Kicking a bloody drink bucket over is not even a story IMO -regardless of why he did it. Any manager can get heated during a game, and kicking a water bottle/drink stand isnt particularly serious imo. Pardew: Head butts a player Pearson: puts his hands round a players neck Wenger vs Mourinho and numerous others Poyet kicking a water bottle ? hardly an embarrassment when compared to the others
As for the game itself, considering that Hull scored from a free kick that wasnt a free kick and then stuck 10 men behind the ball whenever we got forward, I am happy with a point. Bridcutt had an awful 1st half, but played better once Cattermole was taken off. We have played Catts and Bridcutt together before and they did ok, but last night it didnt work out. PVA should start every game unless injured/recovering from a knock. I dont care if Vergini is a better defensive player, PVA gives our team better shape. Should Poyet have started Alvarez and, potentially, Watmore ? Probably, but then again, with both of them coming back from injury did we really want to risk them for a full game against Hull ? If Alvarez had played from the start, got injured and we still only got a point out of it we would be complaining that yet another creative player has been injured. Overall, by the end of the game we had 60% possesion and we were the only ones who looked like winning and probably would have done (even with the same team selected) if we hadnt, yet again, got a dodgy ref decision - the free kick - given against us
When I played non league football the best manager we ever had always kicked the water bottles around at half time when we were playing badly. He got what was a very average team at the time playing well and he is now on the coaching staff at Burton. I don't think there is anything wrong with what Gus did, Bruce was the embarrassment having to be held back after Gus went to shake his hand. Look at the abuse Jose and Fergie have given the 4th official in the past and that ok and not a sending off offence but kicking a drinks bucket is?? come on.. I only saw the highlights of the game, all I know if were short in the quality players department and when Alvarez and PVA came on we improved. I assume those 2 were rested because they had knocks. When you look at the table were in a much healthier position that we were this time last year. We have had some bad luck with ref's decisions this season and we are hard to beat. I don't think things are as bad as everyone is making out. We should have been relegated last season, this season was always going to be about survival and then building again. A couple of wins and we will almost be safe, I think with Defoe in the side we have enough to achieve that.
Shake his hand my arse, he went over and said something insulting before doing some childish ironic clapping.
And you have proof of this I assume? On the clip I have seen he hold out his hand, its impossible to see what was said. Your speculating.
You have no idea what Poyet said, and even if he did do what you say, your twat of a manager reacted to it and should have been sent to the stands as well for pushing the linesman
I wasn't speculating, it's what Bruce has said - "What he said will stay between me and him...it's up to Gus to reveal what he said but I don't think he will. It wasn't very pleasant, like 'have a nice evening Steve'. But I'm not going to reveal it to sell your newspapers." Gus can put the record straight should he wish, but obviously he won't, as I have no doubt he was taking a pop. I didn't need to see a clip, my seats at the KC are in the block behind the dug-outs. Gus came and sat near us when he got sent to the stands, which gave us a few minutes entertainment(possibly the highlight of the evening).
It was no more then ten yards in front of me and I guarantee you it wasn't a friendly conversation. Love him or hate him, you've got to admit that it's not like Bruce to react like that.
But that's not the point I'm making is it? Everyone in the ground & on Sky could see it wasn't friendly. My point is that Bruce is being a hypocrite.
