Yeah, I'm certainly hoping that we bring him in permanently. Sounds like he's up for it, and Benfica I'd imagine would be happy cashing in.
Really I thought it was one of his quieter games and he gave the ball away in some dangerous positions. I really thought Wanyama drove our midfield forward tonight and really acted as a leader.
I agree, Vic was imperious tonight, an absolute giant of a player. Morgan was struggling to control the ball a lot of the time, he seems to have lost his edge.
And he worked his arse off to get the ball back. There will be zero bad feeling from me when he goes. He showed tonight his commitment to Saints.
Wait! Stop the press! I'm in France and had to pass in my season ticket.... We ****ing scored? Yeeeeee ha!
Same here. If he had gone after he bitched and moaned in the summer I would have been annoyed. But he has got on with accepting he wouldn't be allowed to leave. He gets a fair play and don't go to Livepool from me.
I agree. Morgan was only 80% his usual self tonight. Got muscled off too easily by Bolasie just outside the box and a few sloppy passes. Still absolute quality though. Fonte was also a bit dodgy at times. His non-clearance led to them hitting the post. I think this is just a case of nerves though. These three points are massive.
At least the crowd at the game gave Pelle a respectful round of applause when he went off, he had done his best as far as I could see, still wins plenty in the air to no avail because no one gets close to receive the ball. Maya again was imperious apart from a sliced clearance, Filip is showing signs of good promise, Morgan did well too. Sadio is better when buzzing in and around the area. For a team that was devoid of confidence they kept going throughout, Palace may feel robbed but they didn't do enough in the first half to get a result, unlucky perhaps to hit the post I guess but we are still in defecit in the luck stakes. It has just started on Skysports 1 Channel 402.
He said that our defenders went through players a lot which surprised me as I have not ever noticed that as a theme. I know that we have rose-tinted spectacles, however it is an add comment.
One negative for me: One fan called Pelle a useless **** when he was taken off. please log in to view this image
I've just read ten pages of this in my hotel room. Couple of pointers 1: yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh we won. 2: I've met old Stocktonsaint at the Rochdale away game in league one, sat on the kerb out side the chippy... He's a really nice bloke, even if he did come across as a bit of a negative old woman tonight let him off though as we won. Come on oldstocktonsaint, chin up!!!
Credit where it's due, Ward-Prowse made a good impact when came on. Long also a handful. Credit to the fans with Pelle though, standing ovation from the majority because he tries hard and deserves a rest, rather than cheering because Koeman took him off. Forster made some good saves again, and another clean sheet. Very good.
