Long live King Mané! Not sure a) what JWP was doing for the rest of the game and b) how that game merited the same amount of stoppage time as the last one...
After the first 80 minutes took what felt like a week to pass, the referee lost all concept of time. Yay points. Good to get that out of the way...hopefully this instills a bit of confidence.
Well the result is the most important thing there but that was dire. You do have to wonder how much it was influenced by one of the worst refereeing performances I have seen this season. Was he asleep? He wasn't biased but he ignored so many fouls from both sides.
Great result. Prowse got me scared as hell with his passes! Pelle played good apart from being unable to score. That cheer when we scored wow.....
Pleased with the crowd tonight, they were patient and supported the team and encouraged Pelle. That last half an hour was an improvement, although we have to also thank Palace for opening up and giving us a chance. The difference today? I think it was being able to bring on a good selection of subs which we have not been able to do recently.
I don't really care about it being 'dire' tbh. We were cagey as hell, had nervous touches and passes. We trying to score a tap in the whole game. That goal and the mini break from England will do wonders.
Thought we played well in spells.but im sure some posters will still find something to complain about. We won.cheer the **** up
