I don't share the prevailing sentiment about Pelle. I'm not saying he's been brilliant, he's obviously out of form. But what are these other attacking players doing? Elia has done nothing, so has Djuričić. Mane is pretty much our only player who looks like he can make things happen.
At some point though, don't we at least have to try to see what we'd look like with someone else up top? We've chopped and changed every other part of the attacking lineup.
There just doesn't seem to be any urgency, and that is what frustrates me. We play the ball from side to side at the back, wait for Palace to get back and then try to go forwards. Rush them, out some pressure on and cause them to make errors. Move the ball quickly, pull them out of position and we will win. We haven't played well, but Palace look awful up front.
Perhaps, but we exorcised 180 minutes' worth of demons by scoring a last-gasper against QPR, only to celebrate by putting together 315 minutes and counting of further fecklessness.
Jeeze that was close...... Ron seems to be the type of coach thinking "leave him on the pitch and he'll score eventually" which I kinda admire..... But I'd like to see Long now...
This game is boring on the computer. Is it any better in reality? Really losing interest to be honest.
