The KC must have the worst sidewinds of any ground in the country. Not sure what our excuse for the crossing / set pieces is at other grounds?
What a load of ****, age has nothing to do with it. If he's good enough, he's good enough. You mention sell on value - if he's good, why would you want to sell him on? Why buys with the idea of selling them on?
Based on Arsenal's recent transfer policy... Who was the last striker over 30 they bought? They even cashed in on van Persie cos he was starting get on
No, they cashed in on Van Persie because he wouldn't sign a new contract, nothing to do with age ffs... he was the Prem top scorer the 2 seasons previous, why would they have sold him for such a petty reason as age? By that logic, why does he have players like Mertesacker and Flamini around?
It appears the commentator on my thread was the ref from the Sunlan-Man Utd game, he just mixed up Defoe and O'Shea.
If they were desperate to keep him they could have offered him anything they wanted, you can see how that has worked with Rooney. Mertesacker and Flamini are defensive players, they play in positions which don't require a turn of pace even at the highest level, hence players like Pirlo can thrive as pensioners. You'll struggle to find too many successful slow strikers in the Champions League
