My prediction for the next 12 rounds - will post 3 rounds every week. I have 100% faith on FA, Refs & Media. So City is my 80% favorite for the title now. We have 20% chance as of today. -------------------- West Ham v Chelsea - Would be Lucky to get a point from here. Loss Pool v City - Home loss Lead 2pt --------------------------- Chelsea v Soton - Win City v Lester - Away loss Lead 2pt --------------------------- Hull v Chelsea - Win (Matic should be back) City v West Brom - Away Loss Lead 2pt -------------------------- If we win the cup, we can maintain the 2pt lead or else will be difficult.
We are five points clear, and Matic can have a rest for a couple of games. No need to panic yet Lets give Ake a try
Mate I never panicked - I always had City as favorites this season. Recent developments have made City firm favorites, that's all.
If we can find our early season form we can still win it, but we are not playing well enough just now in my opinion. I would like to see a more positive approach, we look to be content with getting 1 point too often. Early on we were just going for it.
This can`t be serious Stan, 5points clear with the strongest squad in the league and you think City are firm favorits?
It looks the strongest squad to some, but if you analyse it more deeply we have less strength in depth than most other teams, due to lack of playing time for our back ups. We have 3 maybe 4 key players we cannot do without and expect to win against even the lowest ranked premier clubs. Long gone are the days when you can have 2 top players for each position, due to fair play and financial controls this is almost... Nay really impossible. I have said before that, City will win the title because of their awesome attacking prowess, it may not be of too much use in European games but it suits the Prem.
Surely this is poor management by Jose then? you are saying that you are 2 injury`s away from your season collapsing. I don`t think this is true but it seems to be what you are suggesting
Why is everyone panicking when we are five points clear. Yes, CIty have a much stronger squad than us, but we are 5 points clear. We are a few favourable referee decisions away from the title
5points is nothing as proved by you in 'Aguerrooooo year'. City have the strongest squad, we have the best Manager.
Agreed, despite bookmakers favouring us, we are only slight favourites, especially if we proceed v PSG http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/winner
Exactly with CL progress looking more likely for us than City. And to those who might have forgotten - City trailed by 8pts with 6 games to go in 2012. Now City trail by 5pts with 12 games to play. All to play with the current factors.
All will change when Pool take something from them Sunday. City yet to win away to any of last year's top 7. 3 draws from 3.
so glad I am wrong. We may have more than 5 pts gap - come Wednesday. City's result should have a positive impact in the final today.
Gap is more likely to be less than anything midweek. Expect City to put Leicester away, whilst West Ham will play like its a cup final. Although if they leave the gaps they did against Palace we will surely pick them off.
Man City are slowly getting dragged into the pack fighting for 2nd 3rd and 4th places, from this moment City are not guaranteed a top 4 finish
Rubbish, they will be second minimum. You are so fickle, one week Chelsea are 'falling away' next week we aren't. Try not to be sucked in by Sky/tabloid hype
We'll be tired after Cup final and have 30 hours less recovery than West Ham and no Matic, let's see how we do there first. Would settle for a point. City could be playing part-time soon too. We are 8-1 on to win title, crazy odds!!
If you look at the run in, I'm 100% certain we will drop more points than City. Just hope our 5-8 point gap will be enough for the title. City have United and Spurs away where they could and should drop some points but the rest look very winnable. By contrast we have very tricky away fixtures as QPR and West Ham, very difficult away game at Arsenal. Plus 2 big home games v Liverpool and United. This aint over yet and with City likely to be out of the C.L, if we progress, we will end up with fixture pile ups.
I see what you are saying but you never know. Stoke and Arsenal got 3 points at the Etihad, their home form has been shocking for a title contender. I cant be arsed to check but I think a majority of their dropped points has been at home. With us......Arsenal do not worry me, regardless of where we are playing, Wenger has a mental block when it comes to playing Mourinho's teams. I also think United, with the way they are playing, will get trounced at SB, also our record against the Spammers aint too bad. QPR always raise their game against us. Thought whatever the result, atleast we wont have to put up with Ellers & Co's bullshit.
