The story about the Chelsea fans in the news today is doing my head in too: "It's not yet clear if any Chelsea supporters were involved but if they were we will, of course, be assisting the British Transport Police with their inquiries," I went away with m'lday this weekend for our anniversary and there was a rowdy and obnoxious but essentially harmless hen party making all manner of comments but they were women and I don't know if they liked football so I'll hold off before calling the press.
Technically speaking he wouldn't be a *****phile even if guilty. *****phile's prey on Pre-pubescents (ie under 12), technically he would be an Ephebophile. (Definition: adult sexual interest in mid-to-late adolescents, generally ages 15 to 19)
Most blokes, including myself, have an interest in 19 year old girls ........ I didn't realise it made me a 'phile' BTW, what are you if your area of interest is between 12 and 15, not fair they should miss out.

It would depend on the "individual" you are interested in as to what category they fell into, since puberty generally starts between the ages of 12-15. Which is what makes it a blurry area. Regardless, modern society dictates that 16 is the threshold because there has to be a threshold, otherwise, if every case was judged on its own merits, it would be chaotic. But many females for instance, begin menstruating at around 12, and at that age can bare children. In medieval cultures for example, some females were considered of age, as soon as that happened. Still, in this day and age, with 16 knowingly as the rule, guys are aware that anything below that breaks the law, and deserve whatever punishment they are due.....still the distinction should still be made between *****philia and Ephebophilia, because a male attraction to a post pubescent female, regardless of age, is a biological thing, and to a degree cannot be helped....acting on that impulse however.......
haha we all love Eva. Being mostly guys, there is a lot of banter about it but its all good natured and doesnt cross "the line" for the most. Of course we get the occassional spoil sport "She isn't a sex object you misogynist blah blah" but its all good natured, at least on my part. The only rumour that we heard was something about her and Branislav Ivanovic being close, but its most likely bullshit.
There's a problem here though. Getting annoyed about this is a little extreme, especially when the meaning of the term 'Ephebophile' is far from definite. It's a recent term often used in a homosexual sense and primarily used as convenient shorthand by psychologists.
Not really, I just gave you its definition. Like I said, attraction is mostly biological, if a person has hit puberty, then to a degree an attraction to them may not be something that can be helped. But like I also said, should that person fall under societies age of consent and you act on that impulse, you have broken the law, pure and simple. But personally I feel lumping everyone who has an attraction to a 15 year old in the same bracket as say, a scumbag like Ian Watkins, is wrong on so many levels....
, No, you gave me one of the various definitions, after all it's a term that's only been used since the 1950's and rarely by the general public. Even the professionals who use the term argue over it's exact definition.
Even still, Do you not agree with the last part of my last post. Because a sexual attraction to a post pubescent 15 year old (like, allegedly, in AJ's case) in my view should not be considered in the same category as Ian Watkins (who raped a 1 year old child ) putting the two in the same category is not right imo.
