Hull RLFC are not alone in been one relegation away from oblivion, and it saddens me to think there posters on here that would revel in the demise of Rugby League in this city
My point in a nutshell !!!! Not hard to see why such a small % of your "posts" are liked by fellow posters
Costello only needs a wooden shed down the opposite side of the ground to the stand that is already there, bank up the ends with some mud and it will almost be an exact replica of the 'world famous boulevard' Only difference being that Costello will have more seating then boulevard had. Costello could be turned into an adequate stadium for RL at a very minimal cost, £1m would turn it into a decent little ground.
Get your£1m tender in they may snap your hands off, but you will need to upgrade your mud to concrete terracing and 50% of your wooden stand will need to be seating................that's your comment & profit margin demolished in 1 go !!!
Thank god you've finally grown up and seen the light. The ONLY bit that matters is the "Hull" bit, the rest is just garnish.
Seems unlikely that after booting all the peasants out of the Airco arena that there is the slightest intention to hand back the lease. You should also worry less about subsidising Hull FC, this does not happen, if OLM is right and the premiership pass deal is now discontinued. Then there is no subsidy. The catering deal has been in the lease from the beginning and Hull FC pay the SMC based on attendances. There is no suggestion that FC do not pay their bills on time. So even if relegated and playing in front of a small crowd in the two stands that are open, they will still have a home at the KC. They may not contribute much to the SMC in dark and dismal times such as these but this is made up for in the good years. Hull FC are unlikely to ever be relegated according to those who post on here with Rugby League knowledge. FC are at the KC to stay and they stand on their own feet financially.
I don't see why we need to expand, as soon as we are Hull Tigers there will be a large majority of fans not going anyway haha!
So the council apply to the premier league for stadium funding without consulting the football club. Since then the football club have booted all the sports clubs in the way of progress out of the Airco Arena, without mentioning anything to the council. Assem Allam will never own the land that surrounds the stadium. There will be no extension to the ground while he lives and breathes and he can die when he wants.
