If Hull FC were relegated... what sort of crowds and income would they be left with?

Would a second division rugby league team with a limited fan base be able to afford the rent required by the SMC?

Do they still have the revenue stream that the previous owner of the SMC put in place for the current owner of the rugby league club? Or has that now changed?

If anyone does has the definitive answer re the season pass revenue stream via the SMC I would be grateful to know. If Hull FC do get relegated and there is a fair chance they will, this money could well be the difference between survival and demise. It would also make a difference in the selling price should the club be put on the market. I have no idea whether this arrangement whereby the SMC buy Hull FC passes is still in place, but someone will. Any offers?

The Premier Club deal where the SMC subsidised FC passes is no longer in place.

I'm sure Allam would find this an advantage so he could get rid if they can't afford their rent?

As the stadium was built for City & FC I think the council would prevent that happening

Additionally there is no promotion/relegation from Superleague & with the franchise system it is actually unlikely they would lose theirs. I believe FC have a higher rating than KR as well

Why the fascination with RL ? Just a couple of points, IF Hull FC were relegated they would become a Championship club, just as City would if they were to be relegated, and ,ATM I know whos the most likely to suffer the fate !!

FC can come rock bottom of the Superleague & unless there was someone with a better franchise than them they would still remain in the Superleague

Yes there is - last season the bottom two were relegated and this season the bottom four have a 'super 8' mini-league with the top 4 of the championship.

Not any more - the structure has changed for this season, it's quite complicated to explain on here, but basically the bottom 4 of Super League join the top 4 of the Championship after 21 games and play each other once, the top 3 play Super League next season, bottom 3 Championship and the middle 2 play off to decide.

It's possible FC will be in the bottom 4 come the end of the season, but it's pretty unlikely that they'll be involved in the play off match or get relegated.

Shows how much I follow the egg chasers....but then I'm not obsessed by them & don't hate them like so many here do.

I still think we are more in danger of relegation than FC

We're only 3 weeks into the new season so not to worry!

I'd agree to be honest, I think Hull will finish in the 8 pretty comfortably and obviously we aren't safe yet.

I don't get what you mean? The point of the Top 8 is to win the Grand Final, the point of the Middle 8 is to finish top 3 and the bottom 8 is to win promotion

Its possible 4 teams could be relegated, its also possible nobody gets relegated,as explained in Davies Headbands concise description of The RFLs best shot at an "Every Game Counts" scenario

If you actually want to understand the new structure the diagram on this page: http://www.hullfc150.com/#!new-look-super-league/c61s explains it pretty well.

It's not ideal by any stretch, but I think it's probably the best solution for the condition the game is in at the moment.

So the whole point of the season is to see which mini league you play in at the end of the season.

Sort of. The season is basically split into 3 parts - part 1 is 21 games (Super League and Championship), which sets you up for the second phase in the mini leagues. The top teams aims to qualify for the top 4 play offs, 1 v 4 2 v 3 then Grand Final. Middle 8 obviously want to avoid relegation.

Like I say, it's probably over complicated and isn't ideal, but at least for the next few years is as good as it's going to get, as crowds so far this season have shown.
