Have to agree to disagree I guess. Cech looked to me that he had it well covered and was (hopefully) surprised it hit the bar.

It looked to me as if he misjudged the flight of it and then struggled to get there when he realised it might be going in.

We played well...Chelsea had luck on their side with their deflections but Imo created the best chances and we're too good for us defensively.
Most cup winner have luck on their side...We certainly did in the 81, 82 and 91 fa cup wins...so I ain't gonna complain about Chelsea getting more luck than us yesterday.
Thought that the ref was ok and tbh I was happy that a bad decision did not decide the match.

I am optimistic after the loss as it shows Poch is taking us forward. I have never seen a top team completely change formation to cope with us. Teams used to double up on bale etc. but yesterday Chelsea changed formation to deal with the team.

A clear out of fringe players such as paulinio, lennon, Soldado, adebayor, chiriches, and a couple others and 2 or 3 coming in will help strengthen us up for next season.

Just hope we don't give up on the rest of the season...although playing more reserve players in preparation for next season could be a wise idea as we are not going to get top 4 and few people seem to want us in the Europe league next season (I want us to be in it if we ain't in CL but I am in a small minority).

Finally, I liked how dignified Poch was when interviewed after the final.

I actually thought the 2nd Dier challenge you mention was more deserving of a yellow than the first. So you could argue he should have gone as he was already on a yellow and i/we would argue back that the first was soft.
The first was not malicious or anything like that and it was around about halfway with Costa going away from goal. Costa was clever and went across him and made a meal of it.

I thought that the first Dier booking was a joke, in light of what the ref had already let go.
The Fabregas foul on Kane that lead to the Eriksen free-kick was ridiculously cynical, for example.

He'd already had a ticking off from the ref for an "altercation" with Costa, i think that was the issue. Although i still have no idea what Dier was supposed to have done wrong to deserve a talking to

I must say that Costa makes Joey Barton look like the Pope's brother.....he's just a plain thug!

I am a Madrid fan but my favourite English team is Arsenal. Even so I wanted Spurs to win the Cup because Chelsea are boring and negative. The whole of Europe shook their heads in disappointment when Chelsea won the champions league after being totally outplayed. It was a very sad day for football. A poster said earlier that Mourinho teams will win trophies but no one will remember or respect those teams. This is true. Nobody admires Chelsea except Chelsea fans. This is not true of Arsenal or in fact Spurs who are both admired through Europe for their football.

Apart from our defensive frailties, we still lack a killer punch up front. Too often, we dominate possession, but produce no finish. Kane has been a revelation, but he can't do it all and he will find life increasingly difficult now defenders are aware of his threat.

There seems no doubt that he pushed his hand in Bentaleb's face at about the 20 minute mark. Kudos for Bentaleb for not making more of it, and I'm pretty sure the ref was looking right at it. The point is, how would the ref have reacted if a Spurs player had put his hand in the face of a Chelski player, and that player had fallen to the ground and rolled around a bit? The media are suckers for players over-reacting, and especially suckers for courting Maureen. Remember the match when Tores scratched Vertonghen's face? Again he didn't make much of it, but the following days had more coverage of how Vertonghen subsequently got Tores sent off - which he didn't, rather than the original incident!

What a load of absolute bollox.

Not that any Chelsea fan gives a toss what this wally thinks about our football or whether he 'respects' us :)

Please tell us about the way your club keeps getting subsidised by the Spanish government so you can keep buying your way to trophies.

Yeah I don't think Dier deserved to be sent off at all, my point (which seems to be what you're agreeing with) that having been on a booking, there was a case for a second booking with the challenge just before half time. I don't like to see players being sent off if it can be helped though as does generally spoil the spectacle (Barnes last week aside!!).

the Chavs play a percentage game , every set peace is a calculated and not wasted .
Our limited resources will give us an occasional chance of victory and that
came in the Epic home game.
Really we didn't do enough to deserve victory with their keeper hardly tested .
Our ponderous forward movements grind to a halt and Kane had crumbs
to feed off . It was up to us to blow them away but they typically stifled
us , which boringly they did well.
The racist ugly team won as they will 9/10 times , no mater what we do.
The pain was eased as the game lacked any excitement , good football,
empty business seats , a bit of a damp squid .

Sid down on the farm ,
    Digging his turnips .

It was a victory for Chelsea but it wasn't a victory for football !
Jose doesn't care how he wins as long as he wins. It's substance over style.

Jose moans about teams that park the bus but they are the worst team for doing it.
Chelsea use professional fouls to get an advantage on the pitch and their manager keeps highlighting referees so that decisions go in their favour.

i am an Arsenal fan who appreciates the playing style of other teams if the football is good.

this Chelsea team may win the Title but what neutral would want to watch them play ?
