What is even more ridiculous is Falco feeling a touch and diving and Rooney jumping over a tackle to gain a penalty...they are the ones that should be banned, the ref obviously did not think that JoS have committed afoul.

What's worse is that racist prat Poyet saying he admires the referee association's "honesty" <laugh> They basically lied to cover their arse by saying it wasnt mistaken identity rather than admit the ref got it wrong. Poyet proves himself to be a dishonest weasel just like over the suarez racism. #rat

No he wasnt, even their manager said it was a fine Goal, Rooney dived yes and then admitted it, doesnt make it right but fair play to him even if he is England Captain, and it wa a clear foul on Falcao, Oshea was all over him.

Aye, it's clearly a massive conspiracy against Sunderland.

Even the police are in on it now...

I went on Saturday and so stunned was I by the quality on show I'm only now ready to post my thoughts on the whole awesomeness of it.

The truth is though, we were pretty ****e for the whole of the first half. We had two corners on the space of ten minutes where the ball was back in De Gea's hands two kicks later, it was mental. Completely nervous and negative.

I don't know what his thinking is here but when the ball goes back to de Gea, and that's often, the centre halves go to full back and the CM's go to centre half. Our centre mids are then way too deep and they all play pat ball side to side with confused looks on their faces.

We had two wingers with a bit of pace but the right footer was playing left and the left footer was playing right so they both cut in, negating any width. Not once was the ball knocked beyond the defender for them to chase and use their pace, not once. It's all played out in front of the opposition very, very slowly.

We were better second half and that was largely because Di Maria was taken off as he was utterly dreadful.

I also don't know why the defence had to be changed again, is this now the law or something? If Rojo is to play left back then maybe give Shaw a pop at right back because at least he is a defender?
Smalling was good though, composed at centre half and a good contrast to Evans who was anything but.

We really should have won by more as there were plenty chances second half but then if you take off your centre forwards and leave Fellaini up front you reap what you sow, and sure enough he missed three clear cut chances, two of them sitters.

I feel for Falcao, he's putting in the effort but no one reads his runs so he is never on the end of the ball. Perhaps that will come. The truth though is that Rooney is our best forward by a country mile so should play as striker with Mata behind him. Fellaini only to be seen in an absolute emergency.

Blind was gash also, the sooner we get Carrick back the better. Although knowing van Gaal he'll drop Herrera, who was tidy and confident and pretty good.

    Allegations Ruining Careers

Last night it came to light that Adam Johnson has been accused of having sex with a 15 year old girl. I’m assuming that if these allegations are proven as true then Johnson will be going to prison but sadly the damage has been done whether or not it’s proven or not.

If Johnson did do it then he deserves to do his time in prison and have all the abuse from people that goes along with it. But what if he didn’t do it? Because this story has come out he will still get sh*t and won’t be able to play five minutes without some kind of abuse hurled his way over the subject.

After reading pieces here and there I’m unsure of whether he did it and I’m really not wanting to discuss it. What I want to talk about is how this kind of thing can ruin a persons career, that a whole players life is in the hands of every woman on the planet…

Only one place to start really and that is with Ched Evans. Me being a Wednesday fan, I should have been abusing him left right and centre. But because I’m a human being I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.

My brother who is a Blade would always tell me new images and proof that determined that he didn’t do it. He was gutted when Ched wasn’t going to be coming back to the club, he kept saying “he’s served his time, what’s the problem?”. I had to keep reminding him that Evans was still a convicted rapist; whether he did it or not his criminal record still says ‘rapist.’
~ Side note: this might sound weird but I went to a lot of SUFC games the season Evans went down. The only thing I ever say about Ched is that he was the best striker I had ever seen play right in front of me ~

The first game United had without Ched and the opposition fans were giving the generic chants (I won’t repeat them), it really put a bad image on the club. My brother didn’t understand that, he just wanted them in the Championship and then Premiership, it doesn’t matter how they get there.

I remember watching the Playoff final that year with my Dad and brother. I think Stephen Quinn had a shot that went just wide in like the 20th minute. My Dad turned and said “if we had Ched, we’d be 2-0 up by now” I said “no you wouldn’t, if you had Ched you’d have finished second. it’d be Wednesday here and we’d probably be winning 1-0.” He had to agree haha.

The best striker I’ve seen in front of me, at the peak of his physical capabilities at 26 and currently without a club…? It’s awful that one woman saying one thing can ruin a man’s career after it was, from my point of view, only going up.

Now Adam Johnson is in the exact same boat. I read a lot of Wednesday fans saying he was the best player to play at Hillsborough since our relegation from the Premier League. And that was when he was like 21 or something. He’s now 27 at the peak of his capabilities and is good enough for most Premier League teams. But of course one allegation and it could all be gone. I would like Sunderland to try and keep him personally. He’s too good of a talent to be wasting away in the lower leagues of English football.
~ It’ll be weird to see how a Premier League club/player gets dealt with with this kind of thing. Normally the lower leagues don’t get the same treatment. Then again it might just be the less fashionable clubs which is what Sunderland are. No offense to Sunderland of course, never had a problem with them ~

Fans can be really harsh towards people in football. I remember going to Notts County vs SUFC and the fans chanting about Lee Hughes and his conviction in 2003. It was awful hearing that and thinking “he’s playing on without even looking at the crowd?” fair play to him for not flinching at all. I then thought that was ten years ago and he’s still getting sh*t for it now. I mean Hughes’ conviction is a little different because he definitely did it but still ten years!

Last thing I’m gonna say on this subject is that the players girlfriends always stick by them...most people will say “well he’s on (insert massive amount of money) a week, course she’s gonna stay with him.” I personally think that the women that they’re with aren’t as superficial as that, they’re gorgeous and could easily find another bloke with a fat wallet. I’m positive that Adam Johnson’s girlfriend is with him because she genuinely loves him and believes him. This is one of the reason’s I’m unsure he did it…

But anyways I’m rambling on and I’m sure we’ll be getting more facts through over the coming weeks.

Gtf feller, one mans actions can ruin a woman's life

I bet you wouldn't have such a blasé opinion on the subject if the female involved was a relative of yours.

If he is guilty they can lock him up and throw the key away as far as I am concerned...If my club had Ched Evans as a player I would cancel my season ticket. The point the S Wed guy is making is there has been very little detail about the charges...if he is a serial kiddie fiddler he will not be able to show his face in Sunderland again..if this is some kid and her family on the make...then

Why are you even implying its possibly a kid on the make and not that the player might have ruined someone's entire life, in light of recent and historical cases of sex assaults on kids and the scale of it the child involved has every right to expect a thorough investigation.
Your problem should be with the police for releasing the players name instead of seeing potential victims as money grabbers.

That is the problem for anybody in these situations. Anonymity should work both ways untill after any court case, the reputation of being a sex offender can never be cleaned (no smoke without fire syndrom).

In this case I'd make an exception...imagine the impact anonymity would have had on Terry's contract negotiations :bandit:

The police didn't release his name. They confirmed that a 27 year old man was arrested, which is a legal requirement to prevent them nicking people without following due process. It was the media who joined the dots and publicised Johnson's name.
