Just not with any consistency. I shall watch the highlights see whether we have been edited to look good or bad.
I must have missed it twice then, once on my stream and once on game of the day. I did have to answer the door during the stream though and have been messing on here during GOTD. What happened?
Early in the match Di Maria crossed the ball, his one peach of a ball into the box. Got to Rooney I think but he couldnt control it. Eyes were on him. Next shot I noticed Falcao freaking out at the lino. They showed the cross again as they do, and in the box is OShea (i think) both arms around falcao hauling him down. Watch it on MOTD if you got it recorded.
If you mean the one at the right side of the area (just outside 6yd box) then i did see it but forgot all about it till you just reminded me
I think you're talking about the pen given. But I am sure there was an earlier one that wasnt. If I can find it I'll post it.
We play s lot better when we play with real width, not using full backs to provide width like we did against Swansea. But trust van gaal, he will change it again next match, and then the match after next.
Hear what you are saying about Fabregas, but thought he had good second half today. But yes,he should put in some big performances in our title run. Why do you think his performances dipped do much in the second half of the season. He can't still suffer from Arsenalitis
The BBC are ****e. They are completely biased against United. I suppose it makes for better headlines. The clips they showed were ALL the attacking from Sunderland (they were few) with the same number of attacks from United. Anyone watching the clips would think it was 50-50. I watched the whole match. United had 75% of the possession and 90% of the attacks. No one could dispute that United deserved to win. As ever, the truth lies somewhere between the rampant criticism of the media and the apparent positive assessment by LVG. Not as good as the latter portrays it but not as bad as the critics would have people believe .
indépendant blogger...following on front Rooney being offside and diving the previous week, and you wonder why your nickname is manure? Wes Frown As everyone already knows Wes Brown was sent off yesterday in a freak mistaken identity thing where referee Roger East sent off Brown because John O’Shea made a boo boo. John O’Shea even turned to the referee saying he had done the foul, but with East being the referee and referee’s being the power-crazed t*ssers that they are, he completely ignored him. Now we have seen this before with the whole Gibbs/Oxlade-Chamberlain thing. I was told this was the exact same scenario and I couldn’t help but think “how the f*ck has he mixed up John O’Shea and Wes Brown?!”. One looks like Paddy McGuinness and the other looks like Morph. But no essentially what’s happened is Falcao has turned O’Shea felt a hand on his shoulder and dropped like a sack of potatoes...whilst Wes Brown got there about 10 minutes late and barely laid a finger on anyone… What’s annoyed me about this is that now the focus is going to be on one thing when in my opinion it should be on another. Martin Keown’s first reaction is that the standard of refereeing is going down which to be fair many people agree with. I agree that a lot of key decisions are wrong by the b*stards in black but I think its because football has turned into a complete non-contact sport. All John O’Shea did was firmly put his hand on Falcao’s shoulder...and he flew to the ground as if he had someone tugging on his shirt and Lee Cattermole two-footing him. How can such a small piece of contact throw a player off that badly? Unless of course he’s looking for it...I’m not saying it was a dive but Burnley striker Sam Vokes would have stayed on his feet in that position. Because that kind of “horrific challenge” is considered a foul it puts referee’s in a sticky situation, If it’s not a foul we get on with the game, Sunderland can go on to win the game and Falcao can take his amatuer dramatic skills elsewhere and with time possibly get himself a role on Heartbeat or Casualty. But because a hand on someones shoulder is now considered a foul the referee is obliged to make a decision and make himself look a right tit when he makes the wrong call. I personally hate when referee’s try and justify a stupid decision. The other week the pub team I play for conceded a penalty in the last few minutes. Most blatant dive you have ever seen but because two players surrounded their player the referee give it. Our right back asked who made the foul because they needed to go, it was a professional foul…referee’s honest words “I didn’t see who it was…” I’d rather a referee just apologize or better still just keep his mouth shut. Sadly this sending off was the turning point of the game, there were some good half chances for Sunderland and they were managing to keep out Man United’s attacks. Then a difficult decision to call for the referee and the game is out of Sunderland’s reach. Like I said earlier I don’t think it was a dive but to go down as easy as he did and then say it’s a foul...actually yeah I’m saying it was a dive. Sadly that is football these day’s and football fans like me are just going to have to deal with it. For me I am gutted that this had to happen against Sunderland. And against Manchester United as well. I’d love for Sunderland to stay up and this is just gonna make it 10 times harder for them. Oh well though, plenty more games to pick up points.
We had most of the chances, but most of them were pretty ****e tbh. I doubt the average MOTD watcher wants to see us huff and puff to yet another missed shot or half chance. And tbh even with most of our chances cut the highlights still showed our dominance. Don't turn into a conspiracy nut Christian, that'll put you halfway to becoming an RS
Ah, I see Sunderland have now been completely screwed over by the ref and the FA. Brown's red card is rescinded and O'Shea doesn't get squat. So two players combine to deny a clear goalscoring opportunity, O'Shea actually admitted his foul to the ref, and not one of them is suspended. Poor poor Sunderland...
This ******ed rule about re-reffing the game rears its ugly head again. How can they not ban O'Shea, he admitted the foul, to his credit, and the video evidence is there, but they cannot ban him....because? They're own stupid, self imposed rules say they can't......ridiculous what a farcical governing body.
Actually he is a Sheffield Wednesday supporter! So what we at Sunderland would like to know is how do you get the refs on your side, (Dowd seems to taking over from Webb as being your ref) You had an offside given when Rooney was in the line of sight of the keep...and then Rooney dived and was given a pen. The misfiring Falco dives after a light touch you had a man sent off and you get open. Two games won that you might not have otherwise Of course there is some jealousy about Manure, but when you were playing fast flowing exciting football, we all had soft spot for you. Now you are mere mortals the refs seem to favour you. We cannot get a breakfrom refs atm. Against Wbrom we had player pulled back in their area no pen and the ref was not going to even book him till the lino said he pulled him back. We also had goal ruled offside when the player wasn't...so why you and not us...that is the point. If the refs stop favouring you you can kiss goodbye to top 4 spot. For us unless we start to get some decisions going our way we can kiss goodbye to the Premier league.
