None of Cattermole's fouls come close to when Sess flattened Tiote with just two fingers, I was sure that Tiote was not much longer for this world , there are fouls and there are divers , and I know which ones I despise , the problem is Newcastle players are booked for blatant fouls whereas Catts gets booked for mistimed tackles

Just thought I would add one comment to the thread that was devoid of any bias

 

Cattermole is close to being the single dirtiest player in PL history - factoid

 

You are obviously a very young boy who was unable to watch football when it was deemed to be a contact sport, when I see now the likes of Tiote going down like a dying swan after the lightest of touches ( Just an example and one of many ) I despair of ever seeing a proper football game ever again , when you have a little more experience you will be able to separate players that go in with intent, no one in their right mind would ever deny that Cattermole is a marked man, his "fouls" are more of the variety of a footballer that hates to loose ( As opposed to some of NUFC players who give the impression of hating to win ) his ilk is an important part of any team, he will commit fouls under the present delicate rules of the game but dirty never !!!!!!!!!

 

Thanks for beating Hull and Villa to help keep us up ! .And Cattermole is not dirty it is that refs are soft as **** and bias as hell with SAFC.

 

I am old enough to remember the 1960's and the 1970's (although part of that period is slightly blurred) and have to laugh at this part of your comment which must have been said either:

1. For a laugh, or
2. Because you are registered blind, or
3. In the heat of an argument where rational thought has gone out of the window.

I agree he has calmed down a lot and I agree players go down too easily and feign injury but to try and suggest Clattermole has never been dirty is taking the biscuit too far.

 

The mackems love a good conspiracy, I bet the are gutted that Wes Brown has got off, and they've ended up with neither him nor O'Shea suspended. What will they whine about now? No doubt it was a never a sending off and there is a long way to go towards balancing out their misfortune with refs.

Clattermole is a dirty animal who needs caged or put down. He'd have been classed dirty in any era of football. His intent is clear. I don't want to see any more players being Cattermoled, its just not on

 

For a footballer who hates to lose, he has doing a good impression of the opposite for the last 5-6 years.

What utter ****e! TheyGOT the penalty which was correct (see SAFC V Hull, Bradford and Southampton for blatant pens not given). We went down to 10. The referee ****ed up which is why no one can be banned. If he'd admitted his mistake instead of covering it up in his report then we would've had O'Shea missing against Hull!

Also see two footed kick towards face by Costa and Elbow in same game equalling yellow card for two red card offences! Cattermole got booked for tripping someone

These players are holding their legs and screaming in pain so they must have some terrible injury, if only they did not get up and 60 seconds later either score or lay on a goal from the free kick, we obviously use different methods to determine who is and who is not a DIRTY player I tend to use my eyes whereas you prefer to rely on a calculator

You have to remember at least 8 of those 10 were the ref just conspiring against Lee Cattermole and Sunderland.

 

And the other two were actually John O'Shea's fault.
