yeah but we are saying he was poor for both sides, normally Norwich fans just rant about a ref concerning their own decisions.

As the Barclay began to sing 'Can we play you every week?' one guy in front of me shouted '**** off! I couldn't watch them every week!'

    Brought a titter.

Guru he was appalling. I cannot describe how much. A couple of the free kicks he gave us were NEVER free kicks he'd just twigged " I've given the yellow boys a lot I've got to even it up somehow " he was embarrassing.

This'll no doubt go down like a lead balloon but I thought the atmosphere from BOTH away and the Barclay was pretty average yesterday. When we lost 2-0 last time I went both were better. Atmosphere wise wasn't the best yesterday, especially second half.

Im sure there is a perfectly reasonable explaination for this, but how can a team that plays hoofball have more possession?

im pretty sure there is a perfect reason, I just can't think of it.

Reason being Guru, when Tommy and Chambers etc had the ball in defence they took 10000 seconds to do anything with it, the Norwich forwards pressed a bit laughing their head off at the impending hoof and the Norwich midfield were already set.

If we're going to go direct, the tempo does need to be quicker. We're so slow in possession.

True. Not sure that's the point though. To be honest, isn't this what McCarthy always does? In a way, the lack of money hides the fact that he always builds teams in his own image, teams of grafters, players who aren't technically gifted but will put in a shift. I'm not sure had he had £10m to spend this season you'd be any better to watch. Just my opinion but Sunderland and Wolves were both long ball teams and he had funds at both. Whilst he is your manager, regardless of funds, his first thought will be to play that way. He is a good manager, to a degree, but as many say, he is a dinosaur. He saved you from League One though and you should be thankful for the job he has done because I really did think you were gonners when he took over. He won't take you very far higher though, not playing like that.

" To be honest, isn't this was McCarthy always does? "

No! He spent ££££ at Wolves and Sunderland. He's astute though. Sorts defence, spine, hard to beat tough to play. He'll add creativity next year, 4-4-2 and wingers I'd imagine. He builds builds builds.

We'll still be direct but remember Wolves having Kightly one side and Matt Jarvis the other?

" He is a good manager, to a degree, but as many say, he is a dinosaur. "

I'm delighted to have this " dinosaur " incharge. After Jewell and Keane Mick is a hero in my eyes. Bottom of the league to top 6 this year fighting for auto promotion earlier this season on a nothing budget. Quality.

Not sure you read the whole of my post! I said he spent money. But it resulted in the same style at both clubs.

Wolves played better stuff than he was given credit for. Jarvis and Kightly hammered their full back the majority of weeks.

Quality? Not my definition of quality but an impressive achievement no question to get that bunch of players that high in the league.

Both decent players in their day but Wolves weren't good to watch. Effective, yes.

Well we had a whale of a time in the Barclay, bouncing around! It got a little nervy for 10 minutes at the start of the second half and we were glad of the 2nd goal but I thought most of the ground was rocking – always good to see all four sides of the ground singing. Agree the Ipswich 'faithful' were muted, though they had little to sing about in truth. Poor game overall, which doesn't help I suppose. Brentford, rather embarrassingly, made more noise.

Never thought I'd see the three wise monkeys bracketed together in one sentence!
Compared to Jewell and Keane, I'd be looking for a spot to mount the solid bronze statue of him - maybe inside the stadium, as there's no shortage of space there <laugh>

You are such a hilariously biased fan it cracks me up. The stand opposite yours and to the right of the Barclay was " rocking " for all of 10 seconds after you scored both goals - but that's the same at Portman Road. You honestly thought the entire ground was rocking!?!?

From the away end, the Barclay were pretty damn quiet a lot of the second half until the second went in. I can admit we weren't on top volume, if that's you lot at the top of your game then that's hilarious. We were just as loud as you until 1-0 when SADLY a lot shut up and became doom and gloom merchants. The atmosphere from BOTH SETS wasn't great yesterday.

You're right it was a poor game, not helped by a poor referee ;) !

Ps - you should have kept Samba as your goal music, loads better!

Hilarious. WELL DONE for being the only club in the country not to have the grace to clap at the " One Bobby Robson " chant.

True, although when it's borderline you would expect them to be more likely to give him the benefit of the doubt if he's just come back onside.

Part of the problem is that I really object to how the offside rule works for players coming back onside, so it's not really a big point.

We sung it four times and it was at a moment when it was quiet that didn't go down so well but fair shout Kio if you didn't then fair enough.

Changing subject a little, where do you think you'll finish? I think you'll definitely be top 4 and have a decent crack at top 2.

Must do wonders for Mick and the current squad hearing you lot chanting about somebody who, admittedly a club and national legend, severed ties with ITFC in 1982, ffs!
    That's 33 (thirty three) years ago. !
Here you go, this'll be right up your street <ok>
