Yea I mean it happens. Most of the time it goes from a 3 game to a single game of course. Its not as common for a red card to be taken away completely thats my impression anyway. I dont know if anyone has ever complied the likelihood of an appeal winning.
On paper Sunlun haven't got a bad team but they are all hell and no notion. I haven't seen an 'end product' from them much and with only 2 wins away from home and 10 goals (20 against) plus us seeming to be their 'bogey' team I think we can win this one about 2-0. Poyet could throw all caution to the wind and field his best attacking side in an effort to upset us early. This could however leave them vulnerable at the back and with Jelly and N'Doye in 'predator' mode then it could well be us who gets that all important early goal. We would surely be going for all 3 points here.
My worry is simply the fact they have Defoe upfront. Let's hope Bruce Jnr. gives him a bit of a kicking!
It's advantage too if Defoe plays as he probably still isn't up to speed and Dawson will know his game inside out anyway from Spurs training and matches
Just been over for a quick look on the Sunderland board, it would appear that several on there are more than a little disappointed that David Meyler didn't end up with a broken leg after Irelands tackle/assault, nice people, and on the subject of bad tackles if Figgy does get ban for the Ireland injury no argument, but what I find ironic about it is Mark Hughes giving it the sin against rant after the game, if my memory serve me right Hughes left his mark on more than one player in his time, in fact he had quite a nasty streak to his game.
Hdm reporting city wont know until this afternoon weather figgy been banned( although its hdm and they could be wrong)
Aluko is better than what you came up with. Quinn is an option for Brady on the left mind with Robbo not being that good at defending yet. But I expect Elmo to start with 11 days without a game to follow.
Due to Roger East's massive error Sunderland wont have anyone banned for the game. Expect Wes Brown to have the red card retracted. O'Shea has got away with it.
So, It feels more than likely, something may eventuate on tuesday in them not being able to keep 11 players on the field.
Aluko has a lot of skill, but he's always been badly used at City. He should have been teamed up with a big striker who could knock balls down to him in the penalty area, but for some reason he is used as a deep/ creative striker with the job of battling defenders twice his size outside the box.
The Mackems seem to be getting riled by Calamity's shocking trolling. I really don't see why, it's ****in awful. As for the match. We need to pick ourselves up after the weekend. If beating a relegation rival, and potentially going 7 points ahead of 18th isn't enough incentive i dunno what is.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Nikica Jelavic trained y'day. Steve Bruce hopeful he will be available to face Sunderland.
Prefer the Mackems to stay up out of the teams down at the bottom- don't really care for any of the others. You've got a decent fanbase & the SOL is a class place to visit. Plus, i've got family links up in South Shields. Think we'll both have enough to stay up. Just. You've got our history to tee. Unfortunately, it's nothing to celebrate on the pitch & the club innundated with ****ers at the top.
I don't think he'd get a ban anyway, it wasn't a malicious attempt to injure or anything, it was a genuine attempt to get the ball which he did, just an accidental collision, from what I remember watching it live. I certainly didn't think much to it at the time, I think the wound just make it look worse than it is. These things happen.
