It would appear that in the jaundiced eye of young Medro, Rangers can do no wrong and all the evil in the world can be laid at the feet of Celtic FC, and Neil Lennon in particular. At Ibrox Medro sees no evil, hears no evil and speaks so evil. He is the worst kind of bigot. Where your average rent-a-gob bigot wears his prejudice like a badge of honour, Medro is more pernicious and chimerical in his approach.
Maybe my perspective on what Lennon had to put up with during that game is just plain wrong. Maybe he was actually receiving words of support from the Rangers fans after all the death threats and abuse he'd been putting up with and few marriage proposals chucked in for good measure. This would render the insidious act of ear cupping truly unwarranted. I'm sure Medro will correct me if I'm wrong.
"Buttery" is the new "whataboutery". In that statement right there you speak volumes. Your "Agenda" is clear
Now come on you said It seemed to me that Lennon, at his place of work at football match, had had enough of the filth and abuse during that particluar game from Rangers fans. What was the "filth and abuse" he got during the game?
Just the usual anti-Catholic, anti-Irish, personal insults he usually gets at Ibrox. Oh, and a few chants about him potentially dying.
Complete bollocks. Remember that was the day the cops were in amongst the fans. What was the chant our fans were supposedly singing about him dying? I guess it was reported somewhere, a youtube video, something to back up your story? You are simply guessing that he was verbally abused because of his religion. That's all it is, guesswork.
Classic bullshit. We've got more Irish ****s than Celtic these days. Oh wait, they aren't Irish enough, whatever that means....
Well there must be something about it on the web. I'll ask again What was the chant our fans were supposedly singing about him dying? I'll wait.
Yes. Now stop stalling and answer the question. What was the chant our fans were supposedly singing about him dying?
Stalling? I never knew I had been asked a question. However, if you are saying that no songs were sung by Gers fans specifically about Neil Lennon I think you must have attended the match wearing ear defenders.
Dev - I don't know if you choose to ignore what's posted or just too blinkered to read it correctly. I was there and never heard any songs about Lennon's religion or him dying and I was glad. Rangers don't need that from the support. We leave that to the Celtic fans and their songs about Walter Smith cheering up and Novo dying in his sleep. But that's just craic isn't it? There were songs sung about Lennon but they were not sectarian. Are we not allowed to sing songs about him because of his off field problems? He's not the first and won't be the last manager to get abuse from the stands.
...or beatings in the street from Scottish Rangers fans or death threats from Scottish Rangers fans or death threats from Northern Irish Rangers fans or bullets from Northern Irish paramilitaries or bombs from Scottish Rangers fans..... No, actually, that was just our manager and will continue to be just our manager from just one section of the populus. A cancer on my country
Too blinkered? I think you have me confused with some other people, most of whom were at Ibrox singing songs about Neil Lennon. Besides, I was not asked any question because I never made any statements about the content of the ditties in question. Are songs about Fat Orange Bastards and Novo dying acceptable? Of course they ****ing are'nt, they are abhorrent but they are not the songs we are talking about and your comments are pure whataboutery.
That's a bit harsh. Yeah he didn't win the league in his first full season and he got you knocked out of Europe twice in 1 month but it's only a football game at the end of the day.
