Same team same subs. :emoticon-0140-rofl: kidding

    Greegsy
    Dawson Bruce Macca
    Elmo Robbo
    Jake Hudd Meyler

    N'Doye Jelavic

If Jelavic's knee is bad then play Hernandez.

Cant wait should be a cracking atmosphere. They'll bring their full amount of fans and always make a noise. Brucey'll get some stick. All good for atmosphere.

    3-2 to us.

Dunno if the gap you've left between the midfield and the top two is symbolic of anything, but it's a problem at the moment. We're struggling to connect with any real penetration. Speculative crosses from our wingbacks aside we lack decisive quick passing to feet in the final third.

Obviously we need 2 of N'doye, Jelavic or Hernandez up top but then we need to get the ball to them early when they are moving and still in space.

Worry also about whether Elmo may be sidelined with that hamstring tweak.

That would be a worry. We've got no one who can play RWB. I'd rest him for Sunland and Leicester and bring him back against Chelsea...

I worry about the law of averages and the law of sod.

I also worry when I read their mentalists believing that they'll lose to us.

    Jakupovic
    Quinn
    Hernandez
    Livermore
    Robertson
    Figueroa
    N'Doye
    Aluko
    Ramirez
    Davies
    Jelavic

That was my attempt at using Bruce's method of team selection. I don't know how he'd fit that lot together yet.

3 strikers plus Aluko and Ramirez? I expected better of you.

I didn't choose them consciously, they were drawn from a hat.

Elmo can rest for 11 days after tuesday. But if he does not make it then Aluko will gtet that job.

Aluko at RWB?! I think not.

If Elmo's out, the emergency option would presumably be Meyler, or maybe Macca (with Quinn or Davies respectively filling in).

Or Livermore, who Bruce tried there once whilst he played a right back at left back and had a left back on the bench.

It failed spectacularly so it's bound to be one of the preferred options.

True, or Livermore. Far more likely than Aluko.

I think we should play Aluko as a lone striker in a 9-0-1 formation.

yep but making sure it's McShane's job to fire the long balls at him.. correction, somewhere on the pitch at least.. he should play rugby as he usually finds touch

Alright lads. Bricking it for this one. We're dreadful at the moment as no doubt you've noticed. Poyet is tinkering so not sure what will happen but if he goes 433, he likes to put Wickham on the left and encourage him to join Defoe upfront. The problem that this has led too is our Leftback being constantly exposed without protection. If you give Elmo your right hand flank to himself like you often do then we have a game. Put a fullback and wide man on the right and you'll achieve one of two things, either you'll have a two on one free reign down you right, or Wickham will put in a defensive shift which will isolate Defoe and take him completely out of the game. I think We could line up something like this.

    Pantilimon
    Réveillère---O'Shea---Brown---Aanholt
    Cattermole
    Larsson---Gomez
    Johnson------Defoe------Wickham
    or

Brown is currently suspended and unless you win the appeal before tuesday he isnt going to feature. The ref said it wasnt mistaken identity so you probably will not win the appeal so your starting 11 needs adjustment.

We've appealed. Have you seen the incident? It will be rescinded. The foul was committed by O'Shea(hand on Shoulder pulling Falcao back) He'll be playing.

We'd be without O'Shea had the ref made the right call.
