Worst time to happen and plays into Chelsea hands. It is our habit to concede the first goal though, now just our usual two and all will be fine.
We shoot ourselves in the foot every time. You know how the second half will go; Us having a lot of the ball and Chelsea sitting back hitting us on the break. It will probably end up 3-0 or something.
Have played well...fine margins mean we are losing to the press best team. We hit cross bar, they get a deflected goal. We need to continue to play with belief and maybe we'll get a bit luck COYS
Typical that we do all the hard work and they just go and score two crap goals. Every ****ing time! Why are we so fustrating?!
So it's safe to say the bottle job has been set in motion, and your usual implosion-collapse has officially set in.
Just been a crap day. First England get their arses handed to them in Dublin. Now we're losing 2-0 to The ****ing Chavs. It wouldn't be so bad if we deserved to be behind, but we don't. They're just **** lucky, as usual.
Mourinho's tactics worked perfectly, the negative, horrible ****. We played some decent football at times, but barely troubled Cech at all. This was what I was concerned about when we took all of our first XI to Italy. Lost anyway, then lost the final, too. It'll be interesting to see how Pochettino deals with the rest of the season. He'll have some very dispirited players after the last few results.
I thought we played all the football in that game. Our team is young and will get better and learn more how to deal with the cynicism that was Chelsea. I hope we keep this team together I think they can go a long way together.
From what I saw (only saw second half) we played well. I am disappointed obviously but can't get too annoyed at the team. Mourinho did what he does best
Oh well. Typical against Chelsea. We all know that playing better than them, even scoring more goals than them, does not make victory even likely. Somehow, through ref decisions, phantom goals, pure fluke, Chelsea will somehow win and use every negative tactic in football to show, once again, that one of the biggest fortunes ever spent on a club in history results in one of the least likable and entertaining champions in my memory. I wouldn't mind Chelsea so much if they were on a budget like West Ham's but they can spend money like Barcelona. Yet they've always been so cynical and boring and never looked like a great footballing side. Not to say we were robbed of anything today. We weren't good enough to deal with how Chelsea got to us. We lack a lot going forward - too few of our players really give us a threat. Well, Eriksen and Kane are the entirety of our threat, basically. I'm starting to miss the old days when Townsend would pretty much always cut inside and shoot. At least that was something.
Disappointed like everyone else but for me, only one team came to play football today and it wasn't Chelsea. If playing a negative, counter-productive and dull brand of football is the only way to win trophies then José and his thugs can have them. I'd be embarrassed if I were a Chelsea fan having to pay to watch that every week. They turned what could have been a great cup final into a war of attrition. The Chavs can accuse me of being bitter if they like, I don't care but I am satisfied that the players gave their all right from the first to the last whistle and played some great stuff. Can't ask for much more if José decided to park the bus. From here, I hope Poch can lift them all for the run in as I still feel this team can improve over the remainder of this season and put a run together to end our season on a good note; if they get their heads down and work hard. As for next season, no doubt there'll be plenty of changes with some in and out but that's a discussion for another day. Overall, it's been a tough week and the lads will have to show what they are made of this week to dust themselves off and bounce back quickly.
