Should be able to build up a 5 point gap on Soton and hopefully if City do their jobs a 6 point gap on Liverpool with a win tomorrow.
Yeah. Now is ideal time to bridge a gap between us and the rest (barring United as they somehow seem to keep getting results). A 5 point gap over 5th and ending the weekend in 3rd will be massive for the run in, especially when you factor in the fixtures left. If we hadn't bottled the start to the season we really could have been in with a title shout. Still I guess it'll be a race to the finish between us and the Mancs for 3rd with the lose settling for 4th as it seems like Soton's momentum has stopped, Spurs are Spurs and Pool have a tough task on Sunday. Needless to say we MUST beat Everton but we honestly should be.
And for the umpteenth week in a row, yet another FA referee has been exposed as an incompetent dimwit, with Roger East sending off Wes Brown for John O' Shea's tackle. When questioned about it the idiot responded that both Brown and O'Shea made the last man tackle on Falcao which then exposes his stupidity even more as shouldn't they both be sent off then if you recognize both men as guilty of denying a clear goal scoring opportunity. Not the first time he's ****ed up but we all know the FA will do **** all.
Not the easiest of decisions to be fair. On first viewing it seems like it might be Brown. Could he have changed his decision afterwards though? Be interested to know.
Yeah. Though it doesn't help his case that the entire team surrounded him and told him it was O'Shea not Brown who made the foul, not his BS story or his previous poor refereeing record. Still it wasn't a game changing decision and good job on the win. Keep 3rd warm for us, we'll be looking to take it back from you. And while it may not be like the days of old when we battled for the title our battle for 3rd should be a good one (with Arsenal prevailing of course)
Certainly more interesting than the title race. Its good that very few people are interested in the two oil clubs. The battle for the top 4 between proper clubs and Liverpool is far morr interesting for football fans. I feel like I would prefer a United triumph though.
I think in the end 4th and 3rd will be settled by either United or Arsenal, United just keep getting results even though looking poor and average, that can be the LVG effect, he has that bit of expertise to get them over the line that Moyes didn't. Southampton look like they're starting to slip away now, as I said, 'look like', by next week it could all be different depending on how our game tomorrow and mid-week games go. But for Arsenal our next 3 games really are winnable games and games we should be winning, Everton, QPR, and West Ham, add the fact that 2 of them are at home, and all are in London so not really a lot of traveling to do. You can even throw Newcastle in the mix in our fourth game, and we should really be winning all of 4 of these to hammer down our place on the top 4, and 3rd place. But you never know with this bloody league, and especially with Arsenal.
Aguero was clipped, chose to stay on his feet, no penalty given. THAT right there is why players still dive.
