Something is wrong, Wenger watches him every day and he is clearly struggling, noticed him bottling a 50-50 in the CL game as well.
Big head syndrome? I'm sure he'll sort it out now that its clear that Welbz, Oxo and Sanchez are ahead in the pecking order
Great result after and initially nervy start. We grew into the game and ended it quite comfortably. Good to see Giroud back on the score sheet and Rosicky proving again that he's a really valuable member of our squad. Perfect prediction from me again .... moving up the table like Arsenal
I was wondering that - he was supposed to be back, fully fit before Christmas wasn't he, and he's still not being trusted for at most 10 minutes to close out games, but usually not even that. Surely he needs game time, and we've been missing his threat on the flanks
I don't get the Walcott criticism. Although he's not been tracking back and has seemed to avoid getting into physical challenges, let's not forget he was out of top tier football for an entire YEAR so it may take him a couple more weeks before he's fully ready to get up to scratch with everyone else. Those sort of injuries affect you psychologically as well as physically.
I'm happy again. Great result actually against a tough side. Thought Gabriel was excellent. Ozil proving his class again. Negatives.. Koscielny still suicidal Ospina does not inspire confidence and has to stop palming the ball out. Sanchez is in need of a break.
He has also made a big difference since he came back from injury - we look a lot better with Giroud in the team
As for Everton - that proves why they are where they are. They had most of the ball, played some pretty passes here and there, and did **** all with it. Aside from Gabriel gifting Lukaku a chance and Lennon's snapshot in the second half, what other clear chances did they have throughout the entire game? Barkley - the guy who dominated us in this fixture last season - was bang average. Lukaku and Mirallas were both anonymous. We handled their attacking threats well. Back up to third and 4 points off 2nd. Hmm.....could we?
Another 2 assists from Ozil and an all round good game to add to his great form. It's going to be a pity when you sell him for not being able to cut it at Arsenal.
Not a brilliant performance but it's the result that counts. It's hard to believe we're only four points behind Citeh
I think he should have scored a hat trick, those 2 headers were pretty poor. But good to see him scoring, and looking a lot better than against Monaco
To be honest, I'm surprised it hurt Coquelin with all that soft, thick, lovely hair on Girouds head...
Was expecting you to make a comment like this. Now now. Let's not go overboard. He produced two lovely assists today albeit his all-round game was decent and nothing more. As A87 rightly states, we bought him to perform on the big occasion as well and that is something he hasn't done it enough. It's all well and good doing the business against the likes of Brighton, Villa, Everton etc, he needs to make it count against the bigger sides too which is where the team regularly falls short. I've given credit where its due today. But this performance doesn't change my views on him. Yet.
