So great to be there today..... we were drowned out by the Leeds cacophony until we got one back and then apart from .. .several.... scary moments... we fought our way to a great win.

In the second half the old partnership of Vydra and Deeney backed up by Abdi was a joy to watch..... we really deserved this win.... and today it meant a lot in terms of other results.

Mlle Yorkie was so pleased to see us win in Leeds.... she has always felt a bit of bad luck.... but today all was put right...
Ok Ok we made mistakes...... but all our players worked very hard indeed.... the strength and resilience of this team was so good.... and we could defend en masses and then have 4 players chasing a break and we looked so dangerous when we did

So good to see Vydra allowed to operate up front...... and great selfless play by Deeney really gifted a great team goal to Matej for our equalizer.

Paredes was clearly told to not run forward after our equalizer and was at times unsure of his role.... but he cannot be held to account for that in my view.

The better team won easily today and it was so good to watch...

    hoarse voices here :)

“It is a fact we are short of players and it looked like we lacked Championship experience today but you have to remember that we have four players out of our academy in our starting XI whereas they have gone into the market and paid millions for players."

Sour grapes colouring Redfearn's post match comments. I wonder who he thinks we paid millions for?

It may not be us Watford spending the money . The group send the money and the player plays wear he fits in best and yes some of our players should command millons in the open market

Unlike Leeds, who spend millions in the knowledge that their suppliers will end up paying.

Thanks to NZ for his splendid comments throughout the match. I spent much of the afternoon stood on a cold windy hillock where there was a faint signal from time to time. If you think listening in to Jon Marks can be stressful, just imagine trying to follow BBC text that comes and goes. What a splendid set of results though. It does show that none of the top teams can feel they are nearly promoted. Reading about the game maybe we could have been further behind, yet possibly could have scored more ourselves. Maybe today will be seen as very important at the end of the season, but all of a sudden the next game looks like a hard one.

I believe we may now be the country's highest scoring club.

That's not my understanding of our situation at all. Most of the players are out-of-contract signings, so cost nothing. Yes some of them would now cost millions on the open market, but that is totally different from spending millions on them.

    Man of the match?

I chose TD as he worked tirelessly all over the pith and was instrumental in all the goals.

Lots of folk chose AA as he worked so well just behind the front two.... and was unlucky not to score himself

Others chose MV as he was playing at his best as the game progressed in his favourite position... and the third goal was so good....

The talk on our farm this morning... we have watched the highlights half a dozen times..... is all about team selection.... I favour TD and MV up front as per the second half at Elland Road..... and perhaps if Ighalo is up for it he could come on as sub.... Others views??

Yorkie - I was thinking the same thing this morning. This year (2015) Ighalo has been on such form it's difficult not to start him and MV has seen rather lightweight and too easily knocked off the ball - although for the second goal yesterday he looked back to how he was a few seasons ago. Personally I would carry on with Deeney and Ighalo if both a fit - I suppose it's a nice problem to have.
Looking at the brief highlights yesterday, it looked like Troy was back at his best and really run the line and led by example.

TD was on fire... tireless and so strong... likewise MV who was not give service in the first half made several great runs and was not played to... and then in the second half was given the ball time after time and it paid off....
