What is so bloody good about life in the East Riding? The schools used to be better but Hull have managed to turn that around. Even with the increase in Council Tax it is still cheaper than the East Riding with better services.
Thanks Captain Obvious, we all know that, Currently HCC simply owns it, on our behalf of course. Well on behalf of any Council Tax payers to HCC's behalf.
There's talk of the SMC swapping hands, back to the HCC.
If the SMC passes the club back to HCC, will you be happy with them running it?
That's not true. You were a customer just the same as you are in a supermarket.
That's different to being the owner.
I went to see Scarborough win at Wembley against Stafford Rangers. I was sat next to Tony Aveyard's wife. He had a great game. She was so happy. In the following week Scarborough played a match and he was kicked on the head and died.

My point was that it was the flotation of shares in KC that paid for the stadium not HCC as such
It still doesn't support your initial comment, and the money was the Council's. Thst's why they spent it on the stadium and some Council housing schemes.

Clearly those of us who live in the ERYC area disagree & did so by a massive majority. Why would we want to change something we are happy with.....I consider that I live in a rural area & although close to Hull have no connection with an authority whose business is based on providing services in an urban area. There is an old expression....better the devil you know

Being a shareholder is a separate argument to the one you offered earlier. You don't need to be a customer to be a shareholder.
The fact that the City of Hull spent the money on projects within the City shows who the law thought owned the money.
I am one of them. I have read comments from Hull people that East Riding snobs are lucky to be allowed in to the city let alone use their stadium. A good job some of us East Riding people stuck with City in the early 80s when the people of Hull were going to rugby or Leeds Utd etc or in the Dolan days.

There are also a lot of us who won't be bothering next season, I know of at least 5 others from Ferriby plus the 4 in our house
I wonder if the people from Hull arranged their travel to Leeds with the East Riding bloke that ran them?
Likewise the Manchester and Liverpool fans I believe.

I can think of plenty of buses going to those places run by people from Hull. OPE Reds, Wingfield Reds etc. when we played Man Utd in 1974 the buses on North Road were packed with Hull folk in red and White scarves.
Even our one time fans liaison officer, now working for Rovers, ran buses to Man Utd.
BTW. The Leeds United coach from Driffield was run by the Herbert Brothers. How appropriate, a pair of Herberts.
I always thought Wingfield Reds were Rovers fans.... Maybe I'm wrong again, or have I misunderstood your comments
That's my one thing I have got right for this year then..... And it's only March as well..... Maybe I should try for two
Not being from Hull when seeing Wingfield Reds sprayed on a wall them being rugby and not football never crossed my mind. My error in a rugby mad city with two world famous rugby teams.
Which doesn't alter the fact that there were disgraceful numbers of people from Hull who used to depart from Hull to support other clubs.
