    .
A price freeze on season ticket prices would be a nice gesture and maybe build bridges.

There are hidden price rises, though. The age of concession has been put up from 60 to 65, and there is no early-bird reduction, so the prices have been frozen for most, but not all.

From outside it looks like RD and the dirty mare are beginning to put in place a vision that will turn their PR around.
Playing better, bringing kids in, freezing prices, engaging with fan groups.... Think some need to look at themselves.

Good PR, agreed, but I'll be paying more, if I renew, for my season ticket. The bottom line is, as you say, playing better. I reckon Luzon is a better manager than Bob, and Watt has made a big difference.

it's not a price freeze at all. i paid early bird prices last year, that's not on offer this year so i'll end up paying £50 more.

    its a spin on words.

............and in the e-mail I've just received I'm told that prices will go up after April 10th. So prices aren't frozen in any way at all. Why does everything have to be given this sort of spin?Do they think we're that stupid? I'd be more likely to renew if they were more straightforward about this price increase.

yep, totally get that. if they came out and said "it's 30 quid more. but we've paid for the pitch with it" i'd be more likely to just accept it. i dont like being treated like we're stupid. i'm educated to the same level as ms meire yet get expected to swallow this BS.

i probably will renew. the football has slightly improved. i'd mainly miss the social bit though. every other saturday for 3 quaters of your year is a big part of your life

Indeed it is, Chippy. So why do they bother telling us that prices are frozen, when the reality is that they are only frozen if you bought late last season and buy early this season? If they just said "The club regrets having to put prices up 11% due to making a £7m loss last year, but we think the prices are still very reasonable" that would be better. There seems to be a culture of dishonesty at the club, even when the truth is OK.

You want to see the club progress, have some decent players, play decent football, you want a decent pitch, have decent Bovril available. You need to be a bit more realistic about how much it costs.

You couldn't find one and a half hours entertainment for that price elsewhere, and sorry but the undiscounted season ticket price is frozen. They just withdrew the discount offer.... It happens.

RD might be stupid with his network plan, but his pricing policy is generous in the extreme. In fact it is probably going to hold you back long term. Your club compete in a market place for playing talent, nine times out of ten the clubs with the most cash get the better players..... Your choice.

Prices will go up after April 10th, that is what they have told me in an e-mail, do you see what I mean? They are offering a discount at last season's undiscounted price!

But even that is bloody cheap mate.
You cant expect to have decent players with no income.
My ST cost £424 in the cheapest section last year! Then I had to buy the mrs one.....
You dont know you are born. if you ever see the prem again you will be paying £55 a game.

So I sit in West Lower Block G with about 7 people in the whole block. My ticket renewal will be £375 (I can't recall what it was for this season). But for Block H 10 yards away, where the view isn't much different, it's half that. My interpretation of today's guidance is that I'd have to change my name to sit there?

Also I avoided this thread for days because I thought it was about watching the Under 11s play...
