    Which isn't surprising in the least to me, Pelle scoring or not. Even at our highest this season, I've never expected us to finish top six.

    The absolute worst thing that could have happened today was an early goal. It's left us banging our head once again against a defensive wall for 88 minutes, with a striker woefully short in confidence. I personally have no doubt we will turn it round, but yes, I think Long should start the next game, if only for his urgency.

    The problem though is that we've turned every side into a defensive wall of late; at 0-0 against West Ham and QPR we weren't creating a damned thing either (thankfully, Mane stole the latter at the death). Early goal or no, we're not at all threatening.

    Tough game. Three decent openings second half where the opponent would have punished us nine times out of ten. Pelle has to be axed and we need to a big shake up for the next one.
