We've been put crosses in over our last few games too though, especially against Swansea (think I read it was 52 crosses we had against Swansea). It really is same old story.

Really got to question Pelle's positioning, all these crosses each week and he's practically not got a head or foot on one.

My main problem with criticising Pelle, is that he's not playing badly :) The other two forward players Mane and Elia, are both so lightweight and seemingly just there to run onto through balls. Very hard to run onto through balls when the other team is playing on the break. Don't seem to have anyone who can take players on or back Pelle up in any way.

Oh and every last one of our players is skying the ball each shot :)

His movement has gotten very, very ponderous, which is what leads me to suspect that it's fatigue. Doesn't really attack crosses with any zest, gets beaten to the ball by such speedsters as Lescott, and those little runs off the defender's shoulder he was making earlier in the year that opened space for his compatriots no longer happen with any regularity.

West Brom still look far more dangerous than we do.

Bertrand's been our best player first half.

Phil Dowd's had a good half too, shame he won't come on for the second.

Key to winning this is with our full backs. Nothing has changed guys, we just need one off somebody's arse to give us a break in yet another game where we're trying to break down a packed defence.

    It's doable.

Tadic not in the game at all, and we're really suffering from an effective link between midfield and attack. I'd give Tadic 10 minutes to turn it around in the second half before giving Djuricic a chance.

No. Long is the obvious choice.

To be honest, I wouldn't fancy Pelle to score a penalty for us at the moment. Saying that, I don't know who would take it and I don't know who I would want to take it either.

Only if there's an arse in there for it to bounce off. Lots of great crosses with no one in a position to make something of them.

Wonder if those who complain about us not 'having a go' enough are happy with our 6 shots 0 on target, of which about 4 were closer to exiting the stadium than troubling the keeper?

Agree Long needs to come on pretty shortly, Pelle just looks a defeated man.

Maybe crosses are not the solution? We concentrate all our efforts to getting the ball in the wide position and then cross it.

While we have skillful midfielders who can create surplus in the central area with some crisp passing and movement, and we don't even make an attempt at it. Interplay between our midfielder is completely neglected. That's why we're so predictable and easy to defend against.

I agree, with a striker so off form he can't find the box.

Too many backwards passes from Wanyama. All the time Wanyama just drifts about and waits for other players to put work in. Hardly any commitment at all from him , he has been woeful first half. Reed should be plying over him every time . I await people to springs Wanyama 's defence. He has been utter **** first half . Reed is way better than him and I honestly don't give a **** if people throw their toys out the pram. I'd bring myself on over him for the second half. He needs to wake the **** up

I'd snap your hand off for a point in this one now, we just need to stop the rot and start believing again.

Really don't agree, we need a number 10 to link the midfield and attack, having more players not receiving the ball isn't going to help us.
