I agree, I would make the ground bigger too if I could. I was arguing against those stating the olden days were better like it's a fact. Its not.
What I thought was better was being young on the terraces with the fun and atmosphere. Obviously lots of things are better now.
Or in other words, yes we're totally incompetent, and despite the fact we have none, we're trying to fight a battle of wits by spreading lies whilst continuing to do **** all. Don't hold your breath on the them looking to engage with Ehab anytime soon bit.
More softening up. Ehab wants the council to put on community events, the council agrees and says: "We welcome Mr Allam's enthusiasm for hosting community use events and will look to engage with him upon his offer." The deal has been done, this is the spin before it all comes out in the open.
A rent reduction wouldn't go a miss. Hull City Tigers Limited pays roughly the same amount of rent for the KC that Manchester City pay for the Etihad.
The deal was done years ago. The deal is part of the arrangement for the stadium already. The council are already meant to do things that they're not doing, shockingly as that may sound. The offer is "you're meant to be putting stuff on now you arseholes but you're not".
Precisely. Why wait two years to mention it though? Why now? If the agreement done years ago get redone then we could see more community events at the KC, an expansion and Hull City AFC paying the same rent without the responsibility for its upkeep.
Err becuase the council brought it up. The council are desperate. They know they need the stadium for 2017 events. Theres no communication. TG needs to go on his hands and ****ing knees to the Allams.
Who gets the rent money the HCC or the SMC? Thought it was said the other day that HCC have recieved less than 50k income in over 10 years.
The SMC. Why should Hull City AFC subsidise a council owned stadium? They could pay the same rent allowing Hull City Council to expand the stadium.
Subsidise the the council owned stadium? The council built the stadium for how many millions 25-30 ish and have recieved in return less than 50k in more than 10 years. On the other hand the football club who play there turn over a huge amount of money, perhaps they should pay some of that back to the HCC who's stadium the club uses. It has been said that we wouldn't be where we are ( premier League ) without the stadium. As a further point when the club is trying to get more support, story's in the HDM like the 50k income don't exactly win hearts and minds.
I assume you're referring to HCC raising this recently and not Ehab's prefectly reasonable response to them? I agree if you do, what the hell are HCC up to? Other than continuing to look like bumbling idiots, especially after the asking the PL for a handout. Incompetent doesn't even begin to describe HCC and its them highlighting it. There are very few community events at the KC and that is 100% down to the clowns on HCC, who aren't even organising the meetings they're meant to. Must be too busy doing something else, although christ knows what.
The Council are highlighting the lack of rental income and the lack of community use of the KC. The solution is to increase the rental income and the community use. They get both by taking over the running of the stadium. The Allams get rid of the responsibility of managing the stadium, the problem of subsidising Hull FC belongs to the Councils not them and for the £2 million a year rent they pay the SMC they may get a 35,000 capacity when they pay it to the council. If I'm right then the council have organised something, a deal with the Allams.
Forgive me if its like i am going round in circles but the whole stadium story has taken place after i left the UK. The HCC built the stadium for XXXX millions and have recieved less than 50k in more than 10 years. Who is subsidising who?
£2 million rent to SMC...You do realise HCT &SMC are owned by the same people ? its the old left pocket right pocket trick, a bit like Allam altering the % take on beer, he can,its his money anyway
