What is your source that he wasnt fit for the Hull game? Presume you have one and aren’t just creating a story that fits your pre-formed opinion. Sandro was fit but they didnt want to risk him too early. Onouha says in his interview today he could have come back to training a few days earlier but they didnt want to risk it before season really gets going. And you are certain same thinking wasnt applied to Adel He is a 25 year old footballer playing for a premier league team and mid way through a season where he was out of favour with an incompetent football dinosaur of a manager he has found his way back into the thoughts of the new manager. Not forgetting this comes the season after he thrived in Serie A and at Champions League level and you throw out a comment like: Based on the points I’ve just raised it smacks of you desperately hoping that the opinions you formed in 2009 finally being proved right. This desperation to have an old opinion reinforced runs through the anti-Adel brigade. How many other 25 year old footballers who’ve done what he has done are written off at every opportunity
From the videos it don't look like Adel is fully fit now. I see him running and juggling a ball a bit by himself, but not in the full training games.
Well you said recently, I was just taking you at your word. And your Doughty/Messi comment is just stupid and also itrrelevevant. I mentioed people who are contracted to QPR, not flights of fancy players from other clubs. Try to stay focused.... Personally I'd play Hoillett, as we do well with the width and pace he provides, especially at home. And we know how important having an attacking outlet is from Wembley. As for the justification not to play Adel, what about whether he's showing in training, team meetings, and n the dressing room that there's justification IN playing him? Being in the first eleven isn't a right, it needs to be earned, and clearly the people who see him week in week out inside the club don't see that he's doing enough. That's nothing to do with our thoughts, and everything to do with what happens inside the club.
Take that as a no then… You don’t have some inside information. Seems Chaz has some inside info though about team meetings and in the dressing room… care to share any direct quotes? You picking Hoilett says it all. You could basically put a cone at right back and he would dribble into it and get tackled or scuff a cross or shot straight at it. There hasn’t been a single period at this club that he has produced any form. He plays on left and cuts inside to scuff shots. If he was a left footed version of Phillips you might have a case. But he isn’t. He was **** in the championship and has been **** in the prem. You talk about the attacking outlet proved at Wembley. Watch it back. He miscontrolls a throw in, loses it, chases after it, wins a tackle, then scuffs a cross to their centre back!! Not exactly the best example of wing play is it Chaz?! As for you ‘taking me at my word’. I just thought you might have enough about you to realise that you cant compare contribution of a player who hasn’t been playing and a player who has been playing so it was a wider question then that. Next time I’ll be sure to dumb it down People inside the club, you are talking about… Redknapp and Hughes. As they make the decisions. Neither were shining examples of managerial masterminds Now Hughes did use him to his advantage during his one period of success with the home wins that kept us up. He then turfed him out for big chunks and that didn’t go well. Redknapp then came in and he produced two of his most notable (and only)wins Fulham and Chelsea (away). He turfed him aand when back decided Adel didn’t do enough and wasn’t fit but he also said that about Zarate and that’s also being proved wrong. Nice and easy to make up **** about behind the scenes but as fans all we really know about is what happens on the pitch and all that evidence proves Adel is far more capable then a lot of the other idiots who regularaly turn out. Main criticism against him is his work rate. Have a look at Krancjar (Man U at hom springs to mind) or even Fer half the times he played left side. As with all anti-Adel mob members do you add in the quick disclaimer to ease that fear he does again get a run in the side and does well and add in that he is very talented before going on to slag him off. This thread has started because he has publicly stated his commitment to the club the cause and its manager so why don’t you shut up and accept that and just let him show this talent you don’t disagree he has when a match day comes Judge him on the pitch and leave out your made up lies about what you are guessing about going on behind the scenes
Nice to see your love for Taarabt isn't coloring your view of any other player. I must point out here - the only person on this thread being at all derogatory towards any of our players is you. Pot and Kettle springs to mind. People inside the club I am talking about, is Chris Ramsay and Les Ferdinand. The people there NOW. Keep up. Sorry - you're clearly his mother and getting touchy when you think someone bullies your kid. I'm not lying, and have no insight. I am just looking at the FACT that he's not getting in the side, and if he's so brilliant, why do YOU thjink he's not getting a permanent berth? (Clue: it's nothing to do with anyone on this board...) As for judging what happens on the pitch, how can you do that when Adel isn't currently someone that the manager considers worthy of a starting spot (or even a seat on the bench most weeks)? Riddle me that one...
And on that note, not wishing to get involved in any more slanging matches with someone on here, I can only see this escalating, so maybe it's time this thread (like most other threads about Adel) gets left to wither and die...
I think you've just betrayed that even you realise how far his stock has fallen when the choice you're giving us is either him or a left-back / winger who can't play football, a "winger" who has never crossed a ball in his life and is no better than Shaun Phillips and an overweight crock. Maybe next time you could say he's a better player than George Santos?
