Now that I'm probably on the move again I did the sums for comparison and worked out I'd be worse off earning £50k in London than I would be earning £30k in Belfast, with the upper tax band, housing and transport costs factored in. When you look at the types of house you're getting for £1,500 a month they look like those ones they used to hand out for free in the council estate I grew up in. If you are earning £50k a year you'd like to think you're doing pretty ****ing well too, but after tax you're left with £3k a month just to do half of it renting an ex-council house, and the other half between the tube and £4 pints... I dunno how ****s with families do it.
His record would suggest otherwise. Only a fool would disregard twenty years of success for the sake of six relatively poor months.
I'm not convinced by him. We are no where near as we should be given what he's spent. Couldn't give a **** how good his CV is. There is a thread for this though..
Light years behind City and Chelsea and, as you say, after spending millions upon millions. Just like Chelsea and City, trying to buy success.
There's more to it than that. The Glazers kept the purse strings tight for years and this is just now trying to play catch up in panic as the squad turned to **** in Fergusons last years. Everyone now buys success though, it's how the premier league is so we might as well just join in. We're not light years away at all, City are for the most part fairly average. They just spent £30 million on a mid table scuffler for a striker, this won't improve them significantly. The mainstays of their side in Kompany and Toure are also seriously on the wane and the rest of their defence is bang average. Average goal keeper and two other average Brazilians at CM. We're a decent manager and three players behind Chelsea if truth be told. van Gaal will need to improve 100% next season if he's to cut it at United and catch them but the rest of the premier league isn't all that. Anyway, as Sweats said, there's a thread or two for this elsewhere before some **** jumps in and tells me to **** off and die.
Yeah, 'light years'. That's why we drew with Chelsea and only lost 1-0 at City in a game we dominated
The baldy fat **** is beeling. Writes a book and thinks he's better than everyone else. Hoitty Toitty pretentious glory hunter. Away back to your ma's sofa.
Lets all just agree that the English Premier League is overrated pish increasingly followed by Middle Class bores who are becoming so homogenous that it's almost impossible to distinguish which set of fans are singing. £5.5bn for a load of auld ****. Brilliant negotiators and PR men, I'll give them that.
