This coming from a wum. If you had simply asked why do you care about us so much? I would have thought you had a point. But this post makes you look a ****. Do I care about Liverpool? Nope, that's why I didn't post ****. Do I think Lovren is a ****? Yep, so glad he missed.
I still think we're a massive club because we dominated the Southern League 130 years ago [which was bigger than the Football League at the time]. For the record I couldn't care a monkey's about Liverpool, Manchester City and United, Chelsea, Arsenal and any of the 'world-class clubs' because we are playing in a bent league and European competition is even more bent. Not sure I want Saints to be part of that elite to be honest... I do like it when Lovren fails though.
Interesting but I didn't want Lambert or even Lallana to miss but when Lovren stepped up I couldn't believe it and I said something similar to my wife. It was so inevitable it wasn't even a surprise when it happened.
Tiny bit of me wanted them to go through so that they're still dicking about in Europe, but this will do! Hopefully that will impact their confidence and City thump them on the weekend.
You can't help but love Brendan Rodgers though: apparently Liverpool could have won the Champions League if they hadn't got knocked out in November. Bless.
Yes, Saintsfan08 posted this last night: http://www.teamtalk.com/champions-l...Rodgers-This-Liverpool-team-could-have-won-CL I suppose he'll be saying similar things about the Europa now...
Yesterday Koeman suggested he might be the England manager by 2022...though at least he had a cheeky grin.
What an awful two weeks for our clubs in the European Competitions. Only Everton managing to win!! With 5 Italian clubs through to the last 16 there is every likelihood of 2 or 3 of those progressing even further. Perhaps Italian club football is gradually re-emerging again after many a woeful season. If Juve could somehow win the Champions League the coefficient between the PL and Serie A will narrow considerably. At this rate the Top 4 will become the Top 3!!!!!
I think the EPL is exciting because results are hard to predict, but this also suggests the top sides aren't winning as regularly as they used to. Although Chelsea and City will win most games, they are quite capable of losing to a side lower down the table (include us in that, you bastards...I mean, please).
Woe is me!! My favourite other club, Athletic Bilbao, also joined Spurs and Liverpool at the exit doors. Interestingly, a young black player, (Williams is his surname) appeared for them last night. How is that you may ask as many here may think that only play Basque players can play for them? Their policy now is to play players born in the Basque region, whether of Basque origin or not. For the record Williams parents come from Ghana and Liberia. I was willing him to score when he came on. Looked lively in parts but a little raw after only 4 first-team games. I do hope he becomes a huge success whether with Athletic or any other club in the future.
They better keep the Ukrainian and Russian clubs apart in the draw but knowing UEFA they will neglect to "doctor" the balls.
