Very impressive.. just wish they would finish the place off, the Atyeo needs bringing in to the stadium complex to have a joined up look.

I really can't see this being ready by August though.

Atyeo looks a tad out of place, but the stadium can bring us into the 21st century.

But one thing though, it doesn't look good when the stadium is all blue <whistle>

No surprises. Not the worst not the best. Dolman concourse where are the bars? Are people expected to walk all the way round to the South stand?

Looks impressive but the access and parking will still be poor. Bloody town greeners.
Looks like the Dolman roof support pillar is removed in the video which is great but I wonder if this is happening in reality - not easy to retro fit a roof structural support. Also the "windshield" at the Atyeo end of the Dolman is updated - looks much better.
As for the Atyeo itself, it does look a bit lonely with the new neighbours but not much can be done about that.

It looks beautiful! :emoticon-0140-rofl: Really professional and yes the Atyeo stand looks a bit odd but it will be the away end so meh. The way the stadium lights up red and white for night games is amazing. Can't wait for it to be built, watched that video twice now <laugh> Roll on August 2016!

Looks great - except for the Atyeo which IMHO spoils the look of the entire ground because it's so out of place with the other 3 stands.

The concourses look a bit too much like a shopping mall too, but I guess that's modern stadium design for you.

You have all encapsulated my concerns
    • why no Atyeo upgrade
    • why stick at 27000 are there plans to re do Atyeo?
    • why 4 different stands and of course
    • poor parking (this will put many people off)
I agree also re the Town green issue (in which I was somewhat involved) It was in my eyes a massive injustice which incidentally must have contributed to the law being changed.

All in all much better than we have got but a Mini Moke effort instead of a Rolls Royce

    Your 4 points

1, I agree, maybe its planned for later.

2, That is more than sufficient for us way in to the future, we would only require more seating on very rare occasions when
fully established in the Premier league and that is a long way off, if you don't believe me you need to study Bristol City's historical
    attendances to understand this.

3, A look of 4 different stands was a mainstay of the criteria for the new ground asked for by the fans on many surveys and meetings before the stadium was designed, I'm surprised you aren't aware of this ? We should congratulate the architects on being able to deliver what was requested.

4, poor parking? There was before and there will be afterwards, but the site of Ashton Gate is surely better placed than Ashton Vale for on street parking, I've been driving to Ashton gate for 30 years for home games and vary rarely need to park anymore than a few minutes away,
with some help from local businesses and some quick thinking entrepreneurs there will be ways to find extra spaces when required.

Re; the town green issue, people are missing the fact that we could well be in the same boat as The filthy Sags today with Sainsburys fighting to pull out of the new store development and putting us back years yet again!

For me, the best scenario has eventually emerged, a new home on the site of our historical home capable of generating reasonable income from realistically sized amenities (not massively underused) with the possibility of concerts, international games etc.

Who wants a Rolls Royce? There big and cumbersome, expensive to run and maintain and lose their appeal really quickly?

All we need now are a few positive fans who don't ****in moan every time the sun doesn't shine every day!

After all the years attending what is now a very VERY outdated Ashton Gate, I for one can't wait to see the new place packed and in its full glory. Yes, the Atyeo does look a bit out on its own, but I won't be grumbling at what Mr Lansdown is giving us. We will be the envy of many clubs thats for sure.
I know some don't like the rugby and Bristol Sports thing, but we are now in an age where these sort of set ups are coming more and more. Its here, its happening, its the future.......it will still be OUR team and no one can take that from us!
The futures bright, the futures red and white !
