Another tenner on season tickets next year should cover it (and make a repeat less likely).

Don't QPR have something like a £50m fine to pay if they get relegated? Is that through FFP?

So what is the scale of the offense for such an 'insignificant' amount?

    Are you joking ?

Its highly possible that an extended stay in Europe would've damaged Citys league form ala Swansea last year, and as were in the dogfight now, that may have sealed our fate, consigned to the championship with no guarantees of getting out of it anytime soon, unless, if it happened, Allam repaid his loans from the parachute payment and bogged off, then its possible the destination would be league 1 at a minimum, I know this is all pure conjecture, but you still up for a Euro jaunt over med term stability ?

    So we incurred a loss.

And the punishment for that is a fine.

    Which is incurring another loss.

    Quality thinking that.

    You couldn't make it up.

Isn't that a Football League sanction?

I think it's something like that (which is why they need to stay up). Would Fernandes be able to finance £50m from somewhere?

The Allams have chosen to accept the fine rather then convert the debt into equity.

I'm sure the tax relief on the losses incurred in City's accounts far outweigh the fine.

I don't think FFP is a good thing at all. It's morally bankrupt. All it does, by design, is keep the big clubs ahead of everyone else.

Isn't this why it's being challenged legally?

No I'm not joking at all. I dont know about you but Ive watched more than 30 seasons in which City played outside the top division and it was great. We might never get to play in European competition again.

I wouldn't go as far as preferring a European run to Premier League survival but I think it would have been worth the risk. I've never believed in playing weakened sides. There's enough injuries, suspensions and loss of form to play your best team every match. By all means give your best players a rest if they need to but why take 100 years to get into a position to enter a competition and then throw it away?
