Hmmmmm..... Lallana on bench.

I would be slightly woirred about their right side so i expect sterling to have to drop to the left and defend that side

Its not 3-4-3 or 5-4-1 when we defend so it'll be interesting for sure.

Doesn't look as bad as I thought it would but that defence is concerning!

 

I'd be interested to know if people think this is tactical or simply rotation.

Balotelli for all his faults has played away in europe quite a bit and is experienced. it will be interesting and i miss it.

I see zap brannagan is on the bench. he's a decent young player... not up to the top standard but quite good for his age group...

 

The only choice we have is Lallana for Balotelli

Thought he'd be doing that with one of the youngsters but he's not played them

 

That team is not going to keep a clean sheet so hopefully our strikers will turn up today, especially Mario because if we do get dominated in midfield he provides a good out ball for us

 

he really should be going and playing the ****ing euromillions if one start by badontelly translates into anything more than an average perofrmance. If balotelli after all the public talk and droppings suddnely started playing like suarez.... well i'd never called rodgers david brent again.

 

He's also possibly the worst player to have on your team when under pressure too lol

 

thats why i speculated on a defensive line up with sturrdige covering the right side to help ibe.

I reckon this might occur for this game but sturridge will get the hump

 

but.....

flipping this I think equally we might be seeing rodgers thinking that he sees a weakness in this lot that 2 up could exploit.

It is dangerous however in european terms....

Happy with that team, it's the same one I'd go for. Despite what a lot on here still say, Balotelli deserves his place in the starting 11 and I hope he does well.

There's absolutely nothing worrying looking about that Besiktas side. We should be looking to put this one away early. Two up front will help, more chances of someone being on the end of, erm, chances.

Think that is the best team he could have picked with the injuries, barring Coutinho but I think he was going to rest him in this game no matter what.
Was hoping Sinclair might make the bench as he seems in cracking form for the youth teams.
