He said if QPR weren't promoted last season he would have retired, heart is clearly not in football management, he'll want an easy job, which we are far from. Yes, he did, he took over when they were in relegation trouble in League 1 and got them promoted to the Championship the next season. As I've already stated, Redknapp went into the championship with by far the best squad in the championship and spent more money consolidating that. They played averagely all season and just about went up through the play offs. Gus took over Brighton in League 1 and had them challenging for promotion to the Premier league. If you fail to see the differences in the challenges they faced then you're being incredibly deluded. Also the fact you keep going on about what has Gus won, Redknapp has been a manager for 35 years and won one major trophy, Gus has been one for 6 years, I hope you can see why your argument is flawed. I am very much still pro Gus, and I am happy with him in charge. God knows what would happen if Redknapp came in, but it wouldn't be pretty
Well I'm certainly in the idiot brigade because if the Redknapp idiot got anywhere near our club then I'd be off.. He is the soap opera of football, limited player, limited football brain that recruits the same players at the same clubs as long as the chairman bank rolls it. Anyone fancy an ageing Kranjčar at the club? He is a publicity seeking egotist that has lived on a reputation that the media created. When Tony Fernandes who I think is a very mellow and stupid chairman, thinks its time for a change, then Harry again has been sussed..
I have read this thread through, given the matter a great deal of consideration, and I`ve reached the conclusion that Redknapp can **** right off. Hope this helps.
Never said history wasn't fact. What I said was present fact. I am using the latest set if results as my facts. You are using 5 year old data! As has been said, Poyet is 6 years into a managerial career and is already managing at the top level. Where was Redknapp 29 years ago? Lower leagues.? Not in division 1 that's for sure. Pointless saying anything to you. You can't see past his spurs days and the corruption and constant seem to need multi millions to achieve average results. Getting QPR luckily got promoted through the play offs with a rich owner and large budget. Brighton had nothing to spend and did almost the same! So Poyet is a better manager on that front too. QPR gave been woeful this season. Harry's QPR.
You have also been using 5 year old data, and claimed poyet was a better manager on that data? Spurs have spent more money since and haven't got in the top 4? Harry also beat city to 4th who spent much much more. The reason I would want Harry is, he plays attacking football. He buys flair players. And he's got many years of experience. He's got nothing to lose and I think that could help us, he'd be willing to take a gamble on players and attacking style. I'm not saying it wouldn't go wrong, but whatever the case, it would be exciting, and excitement is something we've craved for years at Sunderland. I'd want us to take a gamble. Others don't, that's fair enough, everyone has their opinions, and that's what makes football great.
I think Poyet and Redknapp are both ****e for different reasons. Redknapp is an arsehole and financial disaster but he does set his teams up to have a go. Wouldn't go near him with a job. Poyet is an arsehole and a media disaster and he's too scared to set his teams up to have a go. Given the choice I wouldn't go near him either knowing what I know now.
Maybe his knees by the sounds of it, hits them hard carrying heavy brown thingy's in your jacket pockets after a while..
Redknapp doesn't have a bad record in terms of players bought/sold, it's the way he goes about recruiting them that pisses me off. If he's got his sights set on a player, he'll encourage the board to get them at any cost, with regards to wages. Then almost every time he leaves a club, the club is left with a number of high earners who are all well below the required standard to succeed, then he's got the cheek to say his players only care about money and they don't bond and they sit on the bus with their 'beats' headphones on. He's a ****ing ****, who weaseled his way out of doing serious bird, his son is one of the most annoying bastards in football as well.
Harry's been found out. He's history now. He'll be a Sky punter and on the after dinner speakers circuit from now on.
So... Let me get this straight... By saying Poyet it better than Redknapp this season I am using five year old data?????
If his face appears on Sky as a pundit then I'm cancelling my Sky subscription, to protect my television from being ripped from the wall.
Limited football brain??.. One of the funniest comments ive seen on here this year. Please @V-Joe.. watch this video, and then come back with your reasons for his limited football knowledge. I doubt you will.
He's about as funny as aids. The thick bastard can't even speak English. If that ignorant **** came into my club I'd wash my hands of it.
