Well he already co-own a Rugby League Club in Sydney and he's worth $75 million. If he can find somebody to go in on it with him I'd have no complaints
Has Cellino actually i) put any money into the club ??? if so he will want his money back or ii) has he loaned Leeds Utd money ?? if so, then you can be sure he will want a decent return on his 'investment' whichever way you look at it the 'saving' of Leeds Utd has been a temporary measure....... now somebody else will have to dig deep............ It is a scandal that The Football League allows football clubs to be messed around in this fashion...... who pays the price whilst the FL turn a blind eye.............the fans and it really should not be happening........ fit and proper test ------------------- maybe Mr Harvey should be re assessed for his suitability...
Crowe has supported Leeds since the Revie era ... his Rugby League side that he co-owns just handed St Helens a record humiliating defeat ... he hates losing, and has said if he goes into this Leeds thing then it has to be about results on the field ... he will have many wealthy contacts he could potentially line up to form a consortium if he really wanted ... if Crowe went to Red Bull for example and said, "Let's do this, I'll buy 25% if you stick in the rest" it would be a mega marketing coup and Leeds would have owners who know how to build success ... yes, it's probably just a wild idea right now, but damn, it would be awesome!! Why do people keep saying this? Whatever your thoughts on Cellino, if you do the math he hasn't spent that much of his own money (apart from buying the club). He has spent money but he got 11m for McCormack, drastically reduced wages so that we aren't losing out, probably at a profit now. If he has, then it'd be an absolute maximum of 5-7m I reckon which is more than manageable if he expects it back.
