Doesn;t happen often - but I agree totally with you!!!

****ing can;t stand the bloke - he'll want loads of cash (has done EVERYWHERE) and we'll end up in administration.

Poyet is a better manager than him anyhow! Past his best by a long way

Redknapp is the kind of shiny glittery thing that magpies are attracted to ......... looks good but is just smoke & mirrors.

    Managerial Career includes:

    Bournemouth (Administration)
    Southampton (Administration)
    Portsmouth (Administration)

All of these clubs went into admin after he left - My ex-wife's uncle was on the board at Bournemouth and he told me that it was Redknapps frivolous spending that sent them there!

Yes let's get him on board so he can send us the same way!!

He spent a fortune at Spurs getting them to a CL quarter final and into the top 4 - I would love to get there but there is no way he would be able to do that any more - he spent a fortune at QPR and they're below us FFS! Get a grip

How you can say poyet is a better manager than him is unbelievable.

How have you based youre opinion, on Poyets wonderful football or his trophies?

No just the fact that we spent less and are higher in the league than Redknapp's side this season. (and were higher than when he left) or does that not matter? Does his time at Spurs only come into it? WP he's well past it management wise - not good enough. Poyet, as much as I'm not happy with stuff at the minute, is currently doing better than Redknapp did at QPR - unless the league table lies?

I think if Sammy the Chin had the money that Redknapp had to spend at the clubs where he had short term success he would have done just as good a job..

We are 1 place higher than qpr this season and have been beaten home and away by them.

Has poyet ever achieved anything as a manager? Or are you basing youre opinion on the fact that we are 1 place higher than qpr? <laugh>

As for spending money unwisely. Poyet has spent £15 million on bridcutt, rodwell and buckley, as well as a £14 million attempt at borini <doh>

Redknapp signed austin for £3 million and is now worth more than all those players put together.

If youre happy with poyet, thats fine. But he cant be compared to redknapp because hes achieved nothing and plays football thats seen on sunday league level, virtually unwatchable.

I know him well mate..I have a boat load of Sammy tales, but regarding money in the Roker Park days he used to run a football card in the Red Lion on Roker Avenue.. His trick was to sell the teams on the card knowing that a lot of buyers wouldn't hang around, and the miraculously one of the people who had left would have their team drawn out and then one of Sammy's mates would claim it was them who had won..On one occasion they had clocked a lad leaving who had picked Dundee, so that was going to be the team to win..However, just as they announced it the lad had walked back in, and it went something like this..Sammy.."The winning team is Dundee"...The lad.."Here that's me"...Sammy as quick as a flash.."United"...

What exactly did Redknapp "achieve" - 4th place finish after spending 85m on a team that had already spent 129m? So that's a £214m squad plus whatever local talent they had - and he scraped into a Champs League place - I would call that failure personally - top 2 as a minimum for that sort of outlay. City did similar and were challenging for the title! He won 1 FA Cup and no other trophies - how is that success? Yes I'd love to be fourth - but not on that model and Redknapp will NEVER manage anywhere without money.

Rodwell is injured - bridcutt and Buckley cost £5m between them - very little wasted by today's standards (and, TBH, are probably worth that still to a Championship club!) £10m on Rodwell most people thought was a good buy - but he has struggled and not looked up to it yet - NOT Poyet's fault - we all thought he looked a decent player (you probably did as well but you won;t admit it on here as you can;t make yourself look hypocritical) - he was starting to look the part when he got injured!

Austin is a great buy for £4m (not 3) (only managed that cheap as he was in last year of his contract though) Bridcutt and Buckley both had a few years to run which makes them immediately more costly. Redknapp got lucky with Austin - much like we did with KP - hit the ground running and hasn;t stopped scoring since - but they're STILL below us despite having a larger wage bill and a more expensive squad! So yes, Payet has done better than Redknapp this season - making him, by current standards, a better manager than Redknapp - forget all the Spurs ****e etc - that is ages ago and lots and lots of money ago - you are using history to make an opinion - I am using present facts

    History is facts <doh>

Another piece of history for you, Redknapp got qpr promoted, did poyet achieve that at brighton?

So what youre saying is because wenger didnt win a trophy for seven years, it made martenez a better manager when he won the fa cup? <laugh>

We are 1 place higher than qpr, 1 place! Weve been beaten home and away by them too, with us being the only side to give them a point away from home all season.

Wether austin had 6 years left on his deal or 6 days, he was still a good buy.

Wether bridcutt and buckley had 6 years left on their deals or 6 days, they are still terrible buys.

The fact that poyet picks Vergini week in week out says enough for me.
