What are you talking about HIAG .. If ?

There has been a power shift, you have already admitted that.

And this is what this thread is all about. The N17 power shift to Merseyside (potentially followed by a power shift to West Ham and Southampton)

We'll be just 2 points behind the daft pricks in a few days.

But we're nowhere near overtaking them apparently <laugh>

You are very confident of doing Palace then. And Chelsea?

Yes we will beat Palace. That's why I said we'll be 2 points behind you in a few days. The Chelsea game has nothing to do with it.

    Derrrrrrr. <doh>

If you are dumb enough to think that Palace will just roll over, you're badly mistaken. They gave the Goons a hell of a game and maybe should have got a point.

<laugh> I know. I was just surprised at your over-confidence. And I wanted to broaden it to ask how you think you'll get on against Chelsea, given Palace are so beneath you.

I think all the Chelsea players will have hangovers after celebrating too much.

  8. I think, as long as we can avoid expensive mistakes, such as LOLdado and Lame-la (us) and Ozil (Gunners), we'll be just fine with our own nurtured talent.

i can see why you rate solado & lamella as expensive mistakes as they are woeful at times.

but can you explain why our record signing is an expensive mistake ?

My own view is that Ozil is a good player. However, I have my doubts that Arsenal actually needed ( need? ) him. And the reported £42mil. Over priced, IMO.

Arsenal could probably recoup most of what they paid for Ozil. I bet they could sell him quite easily for £35M+ if they wanted to.

Lamela & Soldado though. How much could spuds get for those two now? £15M-20M for the pair? A 40 odd million pound loss!

Comparing the purchase of Ozil with that pair of jokers is embarrassing.

For all the good profits spuds make (Bale/Modric etc) its amazing how they manage to undo all the good work by signing the likes of these two and Paulinho etc.

    Bellends.

Yes, we all make mistakes. Now who paid £15mil for a three legged donkey called Carroll?.....

What's wrong with Carroll? Been a bit unlucky with injuries but his goals and performances towards the end of last season were crucial to us staying in the prem.

That alone made him worth his fee IMO. Plus I think we could still get £10m for him from Newcastle if we wanted to. Hardly in the Soldado/Lamela class of balls ups.

Andy Carroll's scored 14 goals in three seasons for West Ham. Roberto Soldado's scored 15 in two for Spurs.
The former's a crock who'd be lucky to pass a medical anywhere, while the latter's still highly regarded in Spain.

Carroll hobbling around on crutches would still be better than Soldado.

Soldado scored a goal in a European competition last week. No player has done that for West Ham in this millennium.
The last player to score a European goal for West Ham was Marc Vivien Foe.
The last player to score a European goal for West Ham at Upton Park was Frank Lampard. <ok>
