We've got a feature running on our website here which we hope will raise awareness and help people suffering from depression and stress, not only in sport but everywhere. Please take a moment to read it and share if you could to highlight the effects and help to break the taboo that still surrounds this illness...

Going down a similar route, I once went to a pantomime which was in aid of schizophrenia, it was all going well until somebody shouted out, "he's behind you" <party>

Don't worry mate, he is only being like that because of your username, he thinks you are black and bald. He is the biggest racist hippy on this forum by far.

I saw a book titled "Anxiety and Depression For Dummies" yesterday in the bookshop... Not sure it's the brightest idea to label someone looking for mental health help a "dummy".

Why all the focus on ****in sports people.

There are plenty of us that have manic depression and anxiety that are not sports people. **** 'em.

By the way if a Rangers fan suffered extreme bouts of high and lows would he/she be a Bi-Polar Bear?

    Just saying like.

You've not been called eightball since the 70s, or you haven't been called a racist hippy since the 70s? I am genuinely confused, which doesn't take much to be fair.

Funnily enough I saw an old advert with Keegan and his wonderful perm on the telly last night.

Of course depression isn't being effectively combatted in sport. Every time i come out of Coral i feel like throwing myself under a train. It's Cheltenham in 2 weeks - I'll be hanging from a bridge come Friday night <wah>
