So where does he get these players that he sells for "top dollar", as you put it?
You're lacking in consistency again, Piskie.

We haven't been producing good youth players for years, until very recently.
We got these players from somewhere and sold them on for what you call a lot of money, but they're crap? Is that it?

At best, Levy's transfer dealings could be described as hit and miss, with the odd dose of luck.

Can't we just toss a coin to settle this?

Both of you are doomed to finish between 4th and 6th place for eternity.

Nobody on here is saying that power has shifted to Spurs from Arsenal, but according to your logic, power has shifted from Spurs to Liverpool on account of them finishing above you. <ok>

HIAG has predicted that Arsenal will finish 7th this season. A bold claim, one wonders if it will be another comment that will come back to haunt him ?

No, you could describe it that way. Anyone with any sense wouldn't.
We have a lower wage bill and a lower net spend than the clubs that are consistently around us in the table in recent years.
Anyone doing badly in the transfer market wouldn't be in that position.

I wouldn't like to say at present.

I think Southampton are probably on a downward spiral and West Ham won't better 8th place, but Arsenal, Utd , Spurs and Liverpool could finish in any order from 3rd to 6th.

Southampton haven't really recovered from that FA cup defeat at the end of January, but Koeman turned their last wobble around and got them playing and winning again. They have West Brom, Palace and Burnley coming up as well as Chelsea, They could well take a fair few points from those games. West Ham too, you can't write off, Fat Sam has got them playing good football and they let Spurs off the hook the other day when it should have been 3 points to the Hammers (not an easy 3 points to Spurs as HIAG was claiming before the match)

Liverpool look like they have hit some form and I'd expect them to be pushing Man Utd and Us for a Top 4 spot. Spurs have been over reliant on Harry Kane, who whilst he scored that lucky injury time penalty, is beginning to look like he might be running out of steam. I'm not sure who their next best top scorer is ? But a bit like Bale, Spurs are relying on one man to get them out of jail. Who would score the goals if Kane got injured or fatigued ?

  12. You speak so much bollocks, PESKIE!

Take the best man out of most teams and they would struggle. That's a fact.

Not at all. Our top scorer is Sanchez but we have 18 other different scorers this season.

It's only a fact in that parallel dimension you exist in
(presumably the same place where your imaginary friends who all think the power has shifted to spurs from Arsenal also dwell)

Anyway HIAG, have you admitted to your Mouser mates that The N17 power shift has been claimed by Liverpool yet ?

You do remember claiming that it would only have to take one season of a team finishing above another for that to happen, don't you ?

  16. If there was a shift, last season, in power from Spurs to 'Pool, I think there is a very good chance (although not definite) that we will take it back.

I've never been that fussed about 'Pool, to be honest.

    Yeah ok,

There's never been a power shift between us and Spurs has there Hiag?

Unless you mean 3 Premier League seasons?

Or are you talking about the 3 or 4 seasons in the old 1st Division?

Its more a case of us not being fussed about Spurs.<laugh>

The future is unwritten. Arsenal hopes it can kick on now that it's stadium is paid for. Spurs hope their ability to nurture stars and buy and sell intelligently can get them to the top four on a consistent basis, as it got them to the top six on a consistent basis a few years ago. . West Ham hopes nicking a new stadium can help make them a top club again. Who knows what will happen? The only thing you can bank on this year is that Spurs will get 8 points from their head-to-head matches. Everything else is speculation.

To be fair you would easily get £60m for the pair as Liverpool would probably pay £35m for Kane (they have previous when it comes to overpaying for centre forwards)

Would not buy Kane for more than £15M. Can go to local rival if the stake is high.<whistle>:headbang:
