Evening all. Still no internet. Still no home phone. Still no contact with the ISP. Can you believe any business can run without even answering the phone?? Getting very peeved now!

 

Anyone seen the interview on SSN with SD? Just caught it, he is very happy with the fitness of our players, no mention of new recruits though.TBH not sure if it was the whole interview but worth a looksee anyway!

So sorry H, you must feel as if someone has removed one of your senses. I had problems with my ISP a couple of years back, not because they didn't want to talk, but they talked faster than I could understand. Hate speaking to people on the phone in French, you cannot see if they are looking puzzled.

 

Oh crikey M Frenchie, i can't imagine having problems in a foreign language. My Dad died in France, thankfully my brother is fluent, without him, we'd never have been able to get all the certificates and make all the arrangements to bring him home. But yep, this is so frustrating. Not the first problems with this ISP, and when we were with Sky we were without the net for a month! Then i didn't even have a mobile i could get online with, hideous! We've had loads of problems over the years, i'm hoping BT will be our saviour!

 

H, I know this won't help, but I don't seem to have any problems here. It might be due to the relatively low number of users (only approx 100k people on the island). That wasn't the case a couple of years ago, but JT seem to have got their act together.

 

I must admit that I enlisted the services in the end of Josiane my neighbour, a lady that no mere functionary would dare argue with. She sorted them out quite forcefully I thought, more than I would have done if the person spoke proper telecomms.

 

I'm with BT and have to admit that problems are rare.

 

maybe i should move to Jersey . I'm hoping that BT will live up to their reputation.

I cannot complain about SFR too much as they provide a good service considering I am in the middle of nowhere and they give me 2MB broadband. They claim it could be up to 4MB but it never is. The biggest problem is bad weather. I think that they must use some form of ariel connection that goes down whenever there are storms about.

 

Yes - there is a self-diagnosis thing you follow first, but if that doesn't fix the problem, you get to speak to a human very quickly, albeit one with a hard-to-understand accent - they tend to mumbai-l a lot

lol...i get your drift! lol..i'd rather speak to someone who is hard to understand, than not speak to anyone, or worse, hear the ringing tone for days on end! Or be told that someone will call me back within the next 5 days...i've heard it all! i'm looking forward to getting sorted!
