Much talk has been about the horror tackle against Matic....7 years ago on this day, our very own Eduardo suffered such a tackle and unfortunately broke his leg. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/former-arsenal-striker-eduardo-thanks-5218411 He's thanked the fans for the support he got.
Such a shame. Could have been such a great. Still convinced we'd have won the title that year if not for that Birmingham idiot.
Funny as I was thinking about Eduardo when I was watching the Man U v Preston game the other day, when Rooney dived for the pen, with pundits and fans saying that he should have dived to avoid the challenge, and if he'd stayed where he was then he could have been seriously hurt. Yet when Eduardo avoided a challenge, having just come back from that shocking leg breaker challenge you mentioned, having not even appealed for the pen - then he was vilified across the press and football shows for diving - yet the reaction for Rooney is a million miles away.
What's worse in the Eduardo incident VS Celtic, the game was already won and over, it wasn't like the penalty had any baiting on the game.
