So he throws Suarez to the ground, looks down and picks his spot and makes a baby hop and lands a foot in Suarez's chest.
He could have jumped over him Diego, Huth's a tall **** and his legs are long enough to have avoided contact.<laugh>

Bollocks, he's almost standing still when he grabs Suarez, he then turns and takes one step, does a little skip and then comes the stamp.

    <ok>

Huth was facing Suarez who was running at him, if he had been running he'd have been going in the opposite direction.<laugh>

Me too, that's why earlier I mentioned Suarez being lucky in a tackle at EFC that he never did any major damage to the Everton player, and a few seasons earlier Kuyt was also lucky not seeing red for a two feet off the ground studs up tackle at Goodison.

Nothing wrong with balancing things out.<whistle>

How much weight do you need to put on your studs when you stand on someone to hurt them really? Huth wasn't wearing slippers and you have all been dragging this "could have" crap out re Barnes and Matic.
Barnes followed through on a kick of the ball, intentionally, it was never a tackle and there was no weight behind his leg when he made contact with matic, but a black hole "could have" opened up and swallowed Matic <laugh>

Next you'll tell us Costa had no weight put into his stamps?

Your Huth explanation is ****ing hilarious. Like Costa he pretended it was an accident in order to take a cowardly cheap shot at someone lying on the ground. #cowards

    What a ****ing ridiculous post.

What the actual **** has the flex of an ice skaters leg got to do with a football player coming in from the side, straight legged and with full force onto an opponent? You could visibly see the guys leg flex from the force of the challenge. It was a Sunday League leg breaker and to even try and defend it with some inane comparison is beyond belief.

Huth left a bit on him, no doubt. Not as bad as Costa's but could off been a red. The Mirallas one is bad and plain nasty.

Think the problem is that the FA hide behind the "ref is best placed and we don't want to re-ref the game" so whilst they are happy to retrospectively punish violent behavior like a push or some handbags, they will do nothing about the really bad tackles that can result in serious injuries.

I'm not holding my breath that will ever change sadly.

That's fine, if the ref's can be trusted to do their job in the first place.
I will admit that I get annoyed with people complaining about refs all the time.
Most of the time they make, maybe 1 or 2 mistakes in a game.
But when a ref, from minute 1 to 90, gives a totally inept, incompetent performance and gets more or less every decision wrong, then you need to start worrying.

Funny the number of times the tackle has been called a "leg-breaker"

As far as I know Matic's leg remains unbroken, the fact he was still running on it seconds later suggests no actual harm

So when does a leg-breaker not break a leg? Does Matic have spidey sense and he took evasive action? Or do people mean that if he'd gone in harder it would have broke his leg (in which case he's being judged for something he didn't actually do)?

    #pedantic

  20. Its only a true leg breaker when the player evades a challenge that occurred three yards behind him <ok>
