Ray Winstone. Runs all the gamut of emotions from A to B.

I've seen planks of wood give better performances.

    Typecast twat.

    I like The Plank though.

The Sweeney with Winstone was really bad. Ridiculous stuff.

And what was the point? The original was brilliant, but it was of its time. A modern update didn't work. And it had no connection to The Sweeney really, did it? Apart from references to being The Flying Squad.

Nobody else could be Regan and Carter but Thaw and Waterman.

I thought that was alright too.

Watched The Babadook the other day. Pretty decent, but not quite as good as its reviews indicate.

    Good vibrations.

Just watched this on BBC2. A gem of a film. How have I never heard of it before now?

    9/10

Cross of iron straight after. Hooray for the Beeb

Watched The Aviator very good, one that I just hadn't got round to watching.

Thought it was pretty good, an unusual horror film with a good ending.

Midnight Express - pretty good but drags on a bit. Much like the guy's prison sentence I suppose.

Citizenfour - not quite as compelling as the reviews suggest, but well worth a watch.

Interstellar is a near-3-hour steaming pool of pish.

    Nightcrawler was dire too.

Les Martyrs is one of the best horror films ever made. French with subtitles but definitely worth a watch.

Watched Snowpiercer again the other day, brilliant film.

I was looking forward to interstellar but have to agree it was a let down, I liked Nightcrawler though.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Thoroughly enjoyed. I prefer films with a novel idea, and although this is essentially a love story, it doesn't descend into sentimentality.

    CHAMPS

Excellent documentry about the lives of three of the greatest boxers of recent years. Evander Holyfield, MikeTyson and Bernard Hopkins go from the mean streats and prison to the heights of world champions and onto bankruptcy and despair.

An indepth look not only of the lifes of three of boxing's greats but also the game itself and also the pitfalls of following the American dream. 8/10

    Seventh son

    Complete gumph. 4/10

The Clown: This must have been the worst horror film I'd ever seen until...

The Muck: WORST FILM EVER MADE

The Imitation Game: Apparently it doesn't exist according to Gambol, and it's a shame it does...They made some ****y Hollywood ****ty love story/WW2 out of the life of one of the most intelligent people ever born. I beeled quite a lot whilst watching it.

Been on a bad run recently... :frown:
