What, you think the chief executive officer, with overall authority rule ahead of any councillor, is unable to have a letter sent out in his name?
I would probably go along 75k..reasons been, well the plastic white ****e fans realise just how ****e L***s are they come follow a premier league club, same could be said for dros Sheffield clubs too.
He's not signing off to commence the works immediately and "oh by the way councillors, this is what we're doing". It's an exploratory letter to ask if funding is available. I really dont think it needs full council backing to send a letter asking if there's a pot of brass to be shared Go on then, if councillors are behind this why is his name on it?
Councillors make decisions and they implemented by the council officers. His name is on the letter because he is the Chief Executive.
Why should the Premier League? In case you have forgotten, Hull City SHARE the stadium with a rugby league club. Or is it 'share as in' the football club pays for everything '?
Jesus ****ing wept....If it was how to spend any money given by the Premier League then - yes - that would go to full council to decide what form any expansion would take. It does not need full council to approve the writing of a letter.
The Council do not have the right to expand the stadium without the agreement of the tenant as it would affect the terms of the lease. You may think he woke up one morning and thought I'll write to the Premier League asking for £20 million without discussing it with Brady first but I don't.
Some of you no doubt think our owner needs to swallow some humble pie and negotiate with those ****ing idiots still. I wouldn't trust them to run a bath.
The council in Swansea have opened up negotiations with Swansea City to buy the stadium. The club have access to a lot more funding streams than the public sector.
I'm just glad its still on the agenda. It'll take 2 years minimum to expand the stadium which takes us to the point where the Premier League finance grows by another 45%, vital we stay in it and vital we have a progressive plan to grow the whole club, including academy and stadium expansion.
You don't just randomly think stuff like that. So, the SMC are going to hand the stadium and it's management back to HCC? Why? How will this affect us? I must be missing something obvious because I can't see how that benefits us, the council or even FC.
Is it a bogstandard bath? Or one with bubbles and nice smelly candles round the bath edge? Possibly with some mood lighting and a rubber duck. Maybe wth one of those blow up pillows to rest your head.
The premier league and football club earn far more money. The ground is a suitable size for both clubs, but it's the football club that wants the stadium expanding. Why should the rugby league and FC pay out for something they don't need or want?
So you will not be expecting any future RL Internationals at the KC? Hull lost out to Wrexham in the last RL WC. The KC was deemed big enough for the likes of Paupa New Guinea and FIJI in the last RLWC but all the big games were played elsewhere. Why do you think that was ? Also you are presuming that FC will never get a 24,000 plus crowd and have no intentions of ever attracting one? I can see why the council are asking this question because a bigger stadium means bigger crowds and more people attracted to the city spending money and creating job, also we will have the capacity to attract more events to Hull. Everyone's a winner. But if they are looking for investment to fund this then surely all avenues should have been explored and one of those is obviously at the door of the sport who share the stadium, even if it was just a token gesture.
