Thanks for the name check Super <ok>

I do own a powerful bar-magnet tied to the end of a rope which I've used for two things:
    1. To pick up nails near the sheds on mother's drive as one had gone through a car tyre
    2. To clear nails and other iron from my vegetable patch so that I could make a more thorough search with my metal detector without all the ferrous noise
I have heard of this river searching thing before and believe me if I lived next to a river or canal I'd buy a boat and give it a go.

"You stole this one from two people". Meaning, he stole this ONE joke from two people this time, as opposed to him having previously stolen a joke from ONE person. So what's wrong with that Dr Johnson?

Please feel free to enlighten me with your (apparently) unrivalled command of the English language.

Seems to me you've missed the context and made a complete arse of yourself again.
