Mourinho instructs players to injure the opposition <laugh>

Well I suppose its tough to blame Fergie for everything now hes gone. Looks like Jose is the new evil.

Ignoring all the petty school yard bickering about who did what to whom and the stupid conspiracy theories.

Bottom line is that Barne's tackle was absolutely horrendous and the authorities should be doing everything in their power to eradicate all tackles like that, from the game.

Instead they do nothing, just to back up one of the worst refereeing performances I've ever seen.

There have been far worse challeneges. Matic wasn't even injured let alone his career ended. This reaction is more in line with Ferguson's claim that RVP could have been killed or Nani could have lost his leg to infection.

A serious discussion about bad tackles in the game cannot coexist with Mourinho going on Sky Sports to repeat his claims that there is a refereeing campaign against him.

Im am not sold on the campaign either to be honest.
However, vindicating the tackle by saying "Oh there have been worse" doesn't excuse anything.

Astro, why do you persist in trying to justify the tackle ffs.

ALL TACKLES LIKE THAT SHOULD BE ERADICATED, END OF

It's got **** all to do with Fergie and it's bigger than petty rivalries!!

Just because he wasn't injured makes no bloody difference. There was a very good chance his career could of ended,

You have just fallen for his grade A wummery.

Astro i have a question for you, what's your opinion on Lallana and Lovren getting booed for instigating their moves to Liverpool in an underhanded manner?

Look I am the first to say that I think rarely does a player EVER go into a challenge like that with the intent of ending a players career.
I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that it was just mistimed and slightly incompetent, however, that doesnt change the fact that it could have, and if you look closely nearly did, break Matic's leg, you see it bend ffs!!
He should be punished so players think about it before going in with a rush of blood to the head.
I'll also be the first to say Matic should not have reacted like that, because if you do, you leave yourself open to a red card. (though I personally think it should have been yellow). But on closer inspection of the tackle, you can see why he was pissed.

That's pretty much nailed my point.

I agree that Matic shouldn't of reacted like he did (although I can understand why he did) and I don't think his sending off should be rescinded.

I'd also like to give Barnes the benefit of the doubt but my bugbear is that the FA missed a chance to punish such reckless challenges just to back up a shockingly bad display by the ref, when the world and his wife (including the Ref's own boss) have already slated it.

I have to say it was a very bad tackle and deserved a straight red, however you amongst others are going over the top with most claiming "it was a leg breaker tackle" an you specifically said "good chance" of it being career ending.

We hear these claims all the time but in all honesty how often do we see legs broken or careers ended through tackles of that type when compared against tackles of that type where people just walk away or have their leg broken or career ended in a legit tackle or even through accident.

Because he's a grade A ****wit <ok>

How can you claim it wasn't deliberate? He went to catch the ball. Carragher and Henry claiming he chested it was embarrassing.

ming came out and spread himself, when the ball first made contact it was literally on the line (so it doesn't matter where the ball struck him at that point) but his arm swatted it when momentum took him outside of the 18 yard. So, it could be argued that it was accidental as his first touch was actually inside the area.

Could have easily have been red and off cos most linos give them if they see them, and sometimes when they don't, like when Reina got sent off and replays showed he didn't actually handle it outside of the area at all. An evening out I'd say :D

**** off. I didn't justify **** I just called Mourinho out on his bullshit.

Costa has barely finished serving his laughably short ban for TWO DELIBERATE assaults on our players that could have far more easily ended their careers. Assaults he backed to the full extent of his ability.

He said "There is a campaign on the television with a certain pundit that is saying Diego Costa 'crimes'. This guy must be nuts."

A few days later he's on TV again throwing around the word "criminal", this time claiming he's completely serious because it's against one of his players.

And all to justify his uninjured player throwing an opponent to the floor. After he just finished justifying his players assaulting Everton players and putting McCarthy in a headlock and butting him when he tried to complain to the ref about it. And he had nothing to say about his player physically restraining a referee attempting to book a Chelsea player.

And that's just this ****ing month FFS.

I want bad tackles and dives banned. Forever. Not for the 72 hours that it suits the agenda of a **** like Mourinho.

It was not nice, no one likes studs planted in them like that but it was never in any danger of ending anyone's career, people see studs and a straight leg and they go nuts. Had they be going towards each other and he did that then yeah.

Barnes wasn't hardly moving and there was nothing in that, had there been.. anyone remember Lucas Neil on Carra?

Barnes went to kick the ball and followed through, matic stole it and got caught, I think barnes meant to follow through but Matic was never in danger of anything. It was a kick more than a tackle, just how his foot ended planted on Matic makes it look like a tackle but at the time of contact there was literally no power in that leg whatsoever.

Barnes was dirty there, couldn't have argued about a red for that, but the over reaction crap about "horrific tackle" is hilarious

As for Matic, what an idiot, 1 up 20 mins left and he does something that is 100% guaranteed to get you sent off.

At this point everyone thinks Jose is a whinger, moan moan moan, between the whinger and L "I got A4 printouts" vG, we can see which managers are not coping too well with the pressure <laugh>. The cracks started appearing with Jose at Real Madrid. By the 3rd season everyone in Spain was sick of the sound of his whinging and his ****ing pouty face with his lists of exuses as to why he is not special.

So basically you agree with what Mourinho is saying, but because he is saying it you are going to be a dick....just because <ok>

You can see his leg actually bend on the replay. It was a bad one and he was lucky imo.

Think most people agree Barnes should of got a 3 game ban or similar as a deterrent. The FA have missed a chance (but they are ****ing useless anyway) and some are turning it into a slagging match about managers which misses the point!

I'd say that its because everyone that has played or plays football hates that type of challenge. Just a coward's tackle.
