Personally I'd wager that you don't work in hedge funds mate, given that the odds of the former are 14,000,000/1 and the latter 16/1.........
Fair enough I'd imagine more people would be willing to put money on the Lottery than Everton. Nothing against Everton from me there, more that one is a judgement whereas the other is almost a national past-time now that depends on pure luck
Is there a way for us to somehow benefit financially from all the #luckingout Rodgers has racked up the last couple of seasons?
The lottery is a suckers tax, that gives people a few minutes of total escape every week. Sticking dosh on Everton winning the Europa is an equally charitable donation
bookie odds v real odds dear oh dear tobes. If I buy a lottery ticket on a random set of numbers and the draw is fair ad asvertises i have said 1 in however many million chance however just cost you are going to be in the last 16 doesn't give you a 1 in 16 chance of winning it. You've no chance of winning it mate i would say in some alternative universe where you might win it once but there are infinite alterntive universes according to that theory. in this universe..... Gerrez has a better chance of the lottery.
Going into the quarter finals of the CL in 2004 and then 2005, I think a lot of people would have said Porto and Liverpool respectively had no chance too.
so? this is everton we are talking about not clubs with european pedigree <whistle. won't get me like that... you know i'm not being serious at all.
paddy power is just a bookie.. those are not the real odds just as others keep explaining their means of attracting business. 14million to 1 is short odds for everton IMO. would you stick £1 on with astro at those odds
How could I forget Own goals been a bit quiet this season too. Saw he made an Appearance for Everton yesterday though
there you go.. between howard flapping at long balls, bent refs and LFC having a jinx on everton in the cups bascially everton have no chance. its not like there much left in it either... inter, napoli, fiorentina, spurs, zenit, roma, ajax, wolfsburg, sevilla.... I mean if everton get through and we don't they are a shoe in right? c'mon lads...
Nobody said they were a 'shoe in', I said that I hope Everton win it if we don't. That's not me saying I expect Everton to win it, I don't. Just like I don't think we will, but I'd certainly like to see us do it
