Looking at your last couple of posts I can see you are something of a scatophile........there is probably treatment for it when you accept you have a problem.
As for sly digs , I don't make them. What I did was to excuse in a light hearted way your penchant for action movies as I thought your opinions might discourage other posters from seeing an excellent , thought provoking film.
As for My left Foot it is a great film and perhaps in a few years we can come back and compare the success of the two films. At the moment we can't tell. However, we can say which one we as individuals prefer. You've already shared your opinion.
Sorry you didn't understand the expression "shoot your mouth off", it's similar to "arrogant". It's something along the lines of knowing that you are right, having the correct opinion about everything , being bombastic and insulting and knowing that you must share all of your pearls of wisdom to the rest of the less fortunate people in the world.

    You da man!

Well congratulations mate, you got to be happy with that <bubbly>

I'm not a fan of Valentines Day either, commercially-forced to show your love for your partner or just do it anyway the whole year round...

So what you're saying is you have an inferiority complex, I didn't see anybody else nominating you to speak on their behalf, so I'm going to assume it's just you for now.

It's ok to have such an issue, I won't attack you for it, the world needs it's fair share of beta males.

I was actually hoping for examples, until you provide me with some then I'm happy to continue to go along with your ill-informed misconception of my character and play it for what it is, ultimately, I know who and what I am and you just look like a dithering idiot who's spat his dummy out because I didn't agree with your opinion on your favourite film.

I didn't deny you your opinion, I tried to explain it bearing in mind your previous posts.
Incidentally when I suggested that you were keen on action, adrenaline charged films Monty Python never entered my head. If you think they fit the description it makes you look a little silly.

Very pleased mate. A big step but the right one, I reckon.

This is why we don't bother. No need to compensate for being inadequate the other 364 days!

I don't need to use your examples of what you think of me to prove you wrong, I just need to look for a common fault in your thinking, it was very easily demonstrated.

You claimed my opinion was wrong, when in fact, there should be no right or wrong when discussing what films you do or do not rate.

I launched an attack at you because you attempted to belittle me and engineer some one-upmanship into your sad riposte. You patronised me by making an inference that I had an elementary grasp on film, which would be fine with me in most scenarios, apart from the one you created whereby you assumed your opinion was of higher value than mine.

Let's draw a line under it now, if you want the last word go ahead, you seem the type to crave such irrelevant victories.

It seems you cant reply without accusations and insults so I'll assume you are not happy and feeling challenged to reply.
This film is not my favourite film as you repeatedly say but it is the one from this years Baftas that I prefer. I think many other people would like it and judging by its success I am not just speaking for myself.
Inferiority complex...........where did that come from?
I can see you are getting hot under the collar , do you think you have been overdoing the anabolic steroids? I believe some gym bunnies get aggressive by over dosing.

We're all different innit, if we all liked the same movies the industry would be fairly ****ed.

I don't care much for awards to be honest, the Oscars are a joke if you consider how many nominations Gravity got and how few Interstellar got.

How Leonardo Dicaprio has no Oscar is beyond me, when you see that Nicholas Cage has one for Best Actor.

Not being funny mate but this whole thing started because Terry posted his opinion on a film and you basically tried to belittle him and state his opinion was wrong albeit in a sly, non-direct way, it was quite clear what you were getting at...

Birdman is an unbelievably well made film. It's long shots are mind blowing at times, the camera work, direction and acting is spot on.

That said, overall, it's still a ****ing **** film. I can forgive them for best film I guess, because it was incredibly well made. I think it deserved best director but whichever dickheads decided it needed best original script need their eyes poking out.

If you consider the billions of pounds worth of free publicity these "awards" ceremonies generate, to be a joke you are dead right, but the joke is on us mate, cheers.

Best film though, surely to even be in with a shot at best film, a pre-requisite should be at least that it's a half decent film. I hated it.

I'm just one person though I guess, at two at most.

Edit: Unless... does best picture not mean best film? Am I stupid?

Why did you put the word 'awards' in quotation marks? I don't get it.

I also don't get the joke, although I didn't mean joke as in 'funny-ha-ha', I meant farce, I get the impression they give awards out at the Oscars based on who everybody doesn't expect to win.
